Only the ramblings from the former CEO (and Walter Mitty like character) on the FB pages about rising from the ashes. But I haven't seen anything since.
I feel sorry for those of you who went down the Tomatopia route and who must now be wondering what will happen next.0 -
Well I have a battery which is charging at 300W whilst 1.2KW is going into the grid (41% as it didn't charge at all overnight) . The battery is at 5 degrees and has no heater - so when I set it to backup mode it can't start to charge. Meanwhile after less than 1 year the Battery SOH is 91%
Everyone I call, no one replies. I feel sorry for me too.0 -
OP what actual equipment do you have installed?I recall that one of the energy companies that went bust in 2022-ish had a "home battery" subsidiary similar to Tomatopia. Most of the equipment they supplied was off-the-shelf and it turned out that householders could take control of it by disconnecting the relevant parts of the control system.Maybe something similar can be achieved here?N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill Coop member.Ofgem cap table, Ofgem cap explainer. Economy 7 cap explainer. Gas vs E7 vs peak elec heating costs, Best kettle!
2.72kWp PV facing SSW installed Jan 2012. 11 x 247w panels, 3.6kw inverter. 35 MWh generated, long-term average 2.6 Os.0 -

Battery and Solar I have taken back control as I was able to keep the WIFI dongle - This is how I saw the SOH is low and there is a fault every time we pull more than a few hundred watts - It's a 3.6KW inverter and I know it's a battery problem because I get a fault. Today we had 2.6KW coming in and only 361W was going to the battery - the rest going to the house and grid. Because it's just too cold for it.QrizB said:OP what actual equipment do you have installed?I recall that one of the energy companies that went bust in 2022-ish had a "home battery" subsidiary similar to Tomatopia. I've asked 4 times for it to be removed - and in the past I asked tiwce to buy it - still radio silence. All the people at Senapt comms quit - so if someone is out there watching, they are not taking much notice. Also the rest are owned by the same 2-4 people - and none of them are Sqwaking.MWT said:QrizB said:OP what actual equipment do you have installed?I recall that one of the energy companies that went bust in 2022-ish had a "home battery" subsidiary similar to Tomatopia. Don't confuse the directors with the ownership, the management of the entities is limited to a few people, the ownership is spread quite wide across about 100 separate holdings although many of the individuals are in the same families.petecov4 said:

Fair enough. I have rquested twice the Owner come and remove it via NGH and I gave them a deadline of late next week. - but I am being ignored so now I am going to get it removed by a third party and store it in a shed until such day as they come knocking. It's been sat in error for the past 4 days as it's too cold for the Battery to operate. On the times it has worked it's giving me about 13% before it shuts down the amps.MWT said:

So not my problem - it's their equipment I just want it gone.0 -

So not my problem - it's their equipment I just want it gone.It is your problem only to the extent that the contract you agreed to makes it your problem...What does it say there about removal and termination of your agreement?Odds are there is something in the contract that they have broken by this point, probably the supply of energy at a reduced rate?If so then service notice of their failure at the registered office of the company named on your contract just to protect your position.

The contract only speaks of cost if I give them notice - which is something like £1690 per year pro rata. It also states a few clauses where in the event of TE going down the contract is severed by Senapt - but nothing has been sent to confirm they have done so. 2.9 and 2.10 j and g are the sections referenced.MWT said:petecov4 said:

The contract was never started - as it was 2 pronged and was only formed once equipment was installed and supply was started. We were all told to wait around whilst Farouk uses his magic bulls*it beans to create a new company and supply, Of course I've been playing the lottery since, more chance of that etc.
I have done so by e-mail and have one going ot them today via special delivery to make sure it gets a signature. I also called NGH on Friday who said they would pass it on to the people who are back in the office from today.
My solicitor is able to navigate this to allow the house sale she says by adding something to Conveyencing - however based on the fact it's so cold the battery is just not working at all and is sat empty as it won't charge means out of good concience I can't pass this crap onto the new buyer0
