Been a member of the cheap energy club for a while. I'm cuurently with Octopus on a monthly DD November 2024 v2 tarrif. According to the Cheap Energyu Club email, I should be eligible for the negotiated Octopus Energy 10 month fox but when I try and access it, I'm told I'm not eligible. Any idea why not?
My Octopus account email address and my Energy Club email address are different, but I have no problem signing up for Octopus with my Energy Savng Club email address.

I am also experiencing this issue. I'm currently with Octopus and have been subscribed to the Cheap Energy Club for months. I pay by monthly direct debit, so unsure why it is saying that I'm not eligible for the Octopus 10 month fixed tariff through MSE CEC, as I seem to meet all the criteria.
I have tried changing my provider in CEC to another provider other than Octopus but still have the same issue. I've contacted Octopus - they were very helpful but they are unable to offer support as the issue seems to be with MSE CEC.
Can anyone please offer any guidance on how to fix this issue? Is it an error with the MSE CEC website? It seems like a number of people are encountering this issue.
I would be most grateful if anyone can please offer any advice on a fix!1 -
Same here - just had to change my password for the new version of cheap energy club, but I've been a member for 10 or so years, pay by direct debit and have had the MSE email for years.
I am on 12m fixed until 1 Jan 26 and according to the recent Energy Club email I should be eligible for the mentioned 10m fix but it says I am not eligible. Logged out and back in and still the same.1 -

I am currently on British Gas standard variable tariff. According to MSE Cheap Energy Club email received today 02/10/2025 I should be eligible for Collective Switch to "British Gas 14mth fix for both new & crucially existing customers". However, I received the response "Unfortunately, you're not eligible for this tariff". I pay by direct debit and I have been a member of the cheap energy club for many years but have changed my address. Could the change of the address be the reason for refusal; if so, it is not mentioned as a reason for refusal.0

I am in the same boat as others. I am with Octopus on Flexi tarrif (price cap) and been a member for months and months and I also get a message I am not eligible...0

I've had the same problem with British Gas despite meeting all the criteria.0

Interesting. If you want the MSE exclusive from Octopus, just bypass the cheap energy club, and sign up at Octopus.

I've logged into my British Gas account and there's a cheaper tariff showing - Fixed Tariff Nov26 v2,Unit rate 5.40p per kWh Standing charge 34.24p per day - is this the same as the Big Switch one?

Unit rate 5.459p kWh
Standing charge 20.756p per day
