The web site work well on a mobile browser, not sure I personally see the need for the app.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. I assume I am not the only one getting "Service Unavailable" on the website today.

Website working fine for me, too.
RE: the app. It's a bit disappointing it's essentially just a snapshot of yesterday's balance and just opens the mobile version of the website if wanting more up to date info or wanting to trade, rather than an app-specific interface like HL has.
I'm also slightly concerned that when registering it asked to create a password for the app, rather than just using the existing IWeb/Scottish Widows password. So two passwords to manage. I have a password manager, but it recognises the app as being the Scottish Widows website so tries to use the website password. I'm thinking maybe just changing it so they're the same password for both - but I can't see an easy way to change the app password?2 -
Is the fingerprint mandatory or can it be bypassed? I've been unsuccessful with fingerprint login in the past and no matter how many times I retrain it the phone rarely recognises my fingerprint. I must have the wrong type of fingers. Does the app have anything useful compared to just logging in via a web browser?Rollinghome said:App now up and running. My password manager (which is the Firefox built-in one) lets me have several different combinations of user name and password for a single website, and lets me choose which one to use when I log in. So I can choose the SW password for my pension and the iWeb password for my SSISA.SevenUpPear8 said:I have a password manager, but it recognises the app as being the Scottish Widows website so tries to use the website password.N. Yes, mine also lets me save both. I see now there's a button to see more saved passwords, that lets me pick between them.QrizB said:SevenUpPear8 said:I'm also slightly concerned that when registering it asked to create a password for the app, rather than just using the existing IWeb/Scottish Widows password. That said, I've worked out how to reset the app password now. Have to disable biometric login first, and then close and reopen the app, then click forgot password on the login screen. I haven't decided yet whether to just use the same password for ease.1 -

So it might prompt you each time if you don't.I never have a problem, but Mrs R does using an identical phone. Usually because the lens isn't totally clean because she's used it with floury or greasy fingers while cooking. Just a rub with a tissue usually does it. It works best if the sample print on the phone is given from every conceivable angle.1 -

Handy if you want to check how rich (or poor) you are while in the bath.sausage_time said:The web site work well on a mobile browser, not sure I personally see the need for the app.
