Scottish Widows (formerly iweb) have an offer on to get a commission free ISA or dealing account trade (i.e no £5 applied) between 1st September and 30th November 2026 if you've got or download their app.

You will see the below message when you go to the log in screen and can click on T&Cs to see the terms and conditions which aren't restrictive.

It feels a bit like Barclays did them dirty by pretty much matching them but also having free fund transfer (not for ETFs but still decent).

Scottish Widows Share Dealing does not charge for transferring funds or directly held securities either in or out.

Does Barclays charge for that? I got the impression that they only kept the GBP 6 fee on single stocks/ETFs

I think the two of you are talking at cross-purposes. Neither charges for transfers in or out. Barclays doesn't charge a trading fee on fund purchases or sales, but does on exchange traded investments, whereas SWSD charges the same trading fee for all trades.
