Wow, so they won't even consider the fact that I can't submit an appeal?Coupon-mad said:But that point isn't one POPLA will consider.
Sounds bizarre1 -
Its currently an unregulated industry, cowboy rules, which is why we and the MPs have been trying to change it for almost a decade, so please fill in the current government public survey consultation and try to get it properly regulated, to try to stop these issues. It closes in 2 weeks2

FIGHTBACK ALERT:
Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.
See this thread:
We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
Includes a question about appeals.

It seems everything is irrelevant. All appeals are turned down. POPLA won't consider the fact I'm not even able to appeal. It doesn't matter what I write on the appeal.ChirpyChicken said:

A court claim via Mcol, correctly defended, is very relevant, until government regulation finally kicks in, and afterWhisk1974 said:

UPDATE:
So I can't appeal via the portal. I have used the complaints portal to advise I can't appeal and had no response yet. The 14 day deadline is tomorrow, so my plan is to now send it by recorded delivery today.
Seems reasonable to me and I recall I once had one expire when I logged an appeal by post a few years ago. I seem to recall te advice was to wait until the deadline to send the postal appeal.

Absolutely not. We did not advise posting anything and we never would. That postage costs close to £9 & is pointless.Whisk1974 said:UPDATE:

So on the 16th September I sent an appeal via the complaints email address, as I wasn't able to do it using their normal appeal process, and I still haven't heard back from them.Coupon-mad said:

Your complaint is your appeal. Wait.
It's been more than 14 days now, shouldn't I have heard back in that timeframe? Is this another nail in the coffin of their charge?
