Parking fine, Parkmaven, in company car

Hi All,
Apologies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere, but I can't find the info.
In late March I went to a concert in Hull with my 13 year old son. I parked at Prices Quay, which is run by Parkmaven. I've never come across a barrierless car park before and thought it wasn't possible to pay at the end, as we had no ticket for the machine.
Signage to me seemed to suggest we had to pay through an app. I didn't have the app and didn't have my reading glasses, so had to get my son to sort this on his phone. He's on the autism spectrum but is fairly good with technology. Unfortunately he's somehow input the wrong time when buying the parking and bought parking from 19:50, when we arrived to 20:00. I'm not sure how this happened as he only bought it at 20:04!!
Anyway, since this is a car lease through work (technically a company car I suppose), the fine was sent to the lease company and I only found out about it at the end of April. The lease company said they had passed my details on to Parkmaven and that I should wait to hear from them before I appeal. I'd also add that when I looked at it online (as they gave me the reference number) the fine was £100 with no option of a discount for paying.
I've still not heard from Parkmaven but this week had another email from the lease company. It seems the parkin company have chased the lease company up with reminder letter, rather than using my details to contact me.
Any advice what I should do now? Do the parking company have to contact me within a set amount of days of the lease company giving them my details?
Also, what are the odds on an appeal given that barrierless car parks are new to me. I'm in my fifties and didn't have my glasses to use the app. Also can't see how the app could let me pay for time before I was buying it. I admit I'm a ludite, but forcing fuddy duddies like me to use technology is bound to cause issues IMO.
Thanks in advance.

It is not a fine.
Tell the lease company in writing not to pay the charge under any circumstances.
You can either: -
Instruct the lease company to pass the lessee's details to Parkmaven, ensuring they do not refer to the lessee as the driver. This will absolve them of liability.
Or,
Appeal as hirer/lessee using the relevant edna basher letter you will find in the sticky announcement for NEWBIES. There are three to choose from. You will need the PCN details to do this.
Or, do both of the above.
It is imperative that the driver's identity is never revealed. The lease company do not know this unless someone was there to witness the event. They only know the name of the hirer/lessee so must only pass that information on to the parking company.I married my cousin. Parkmaven's stupid app is not tied to the time you entered the car park if you want to pay on exit, so you have to cast your mind back possibly hours and narrow down your arrival down to a 15 minute window or so.Compare that with a payment machine, which will have your timings and just charge you the correct amount. This is a purposeful move because if you try and pay when your car isn't there - bingo, it won't accept it. Because the ANPR camera is tied to the app behind the scenes and has timings, but it's been disabled so that you are left to guess. And it's very easy to make a mistake.I'm sending you a message...3

"Also, what are the odds on an appeal given that barrierless car parks are new to me".No point in that at all, you are not dealing with reasonable people, and nothing you appeal will be taken notice of it's a sham."Barrierless" car parks are more the norm these days surprised you haven't come across them and ANPR before! You can trust Car1980 follow the advice given.

Appeal doesn't matter, win or lose because you won't ever pay this.Unfortunately he's somehow input the wrong time when buying the parking and bought parking from 19:50, when we arrived to 20:00. I'm not sure how this happened as he only bought it at 20:04!!Are you sure he didn't select the next day?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, I should probably have said it was a multi storey car park. I've been in plenty of barrierless car parks, but this is the first multi storey car park I've ever been in that either didn't have a barrier or a ticket machine where you pre-paid.
I guess that's not a defence in their eyes.0 -

I checked the receipt I received at the time and it's definitely the same day. We paid on the app, ten minutes after arriving. I thought he was pre-paying the parking. But didn't have my glasses, so I'm pretty much guessing what happened.
What's annoying is that without having a ticket from a barrier on the way in I've never known a car park where you didn't have to pre-pay parking. It's always been pre-pay or get a ticket from a barrier in my 50-odd years of life.
This is a completely new system to me and has caught me off guard, at the worst possible time.

Hi All,
Thanks for your advice and comments.
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear in my question. I'm pretty much asking if there is a certain time frame in which they have to inform me about the charge. I mean the lease company gave them my details a few weeks ago, so don't they have to inform me within a set amount of days?
I'd quite like them to be caught out on a technicality, the way I have been by them.
Thanks

the lease company did pass my details on and did this a few weeks ago. Then the car park company chased them up again for the charge, rather than contact me. I'm wondering if there is a time frame in which Parkmaven have to inform me, after receiving my details from the lease company. Hopefuly this will expire before they inform me.
Thanks again0 -

Get onto the lease firm again today. Tell them:
1. You WILL NOT REIMBURSE THEM if they pay this PCN and in order to properly transfer the case to you, they MUST either:
A - transfer liability again because clearly it wasn't received (double check they actually gave your current address?), or
B - urgently email you a copy of their letter they say they sent, transferring liability to you. This will enable you to appeal as hirer because you can prove to Parkmaven that the lease firm did already transfer liability to you to appeal.
Do not talk about who was driving or the story of what happened in the first person.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
