@KajiKita - which insurer are you with? If you'd rather not give their exact name I can work out simple clues but cryptic clues defeat me 😀
Progressed the next tortuous step in order to sort out a personalised number plate that MrBC doesn't want. Only one stage left now.
I collated all the info I need for my 24/25 tax return. I will submit it this month as I've conned myself into believing that the deadline is 31st May.
untangled a right pig's ear of a mess up with our shed purchase. Well, I untangled the first bit by cancelling the order and am waiting for a refund. We had a sensible discussion about options and are going to a real life, local shed supplier where with hindsight we should have gone in the first place. The online so called shed direct supplier turns out to be a middle man for a manufacturer and we have been batted back and forth between retailer and manufacturer. Today's 3rd no show delivery made up our minds for us.

@Blackcats, allian z 😊
They impressed me with reducing my premium without being asked when my policy came up for renewal this year. I did check but no one could match it 😊
(No idea what they are like for claims but I think their TrustFlyer rating seems okay.)

Bathed the dog and washed his bedding. The bed in his crate is washed regularly, but the one in the garden room was filthy. I hadn't realised it came apart and had been going to bin it. It said to only wash the covers, but the inners needed it too. Washing in a pet laundry bag with pet-hair catchers makes it much easier too. It's all been line-dried, but will go through the TD tomorrow when the solar is generating as that helps get the hair out (and makes sure there are no damp smells to go with the dog smells!).
Gravel was delivered today, and I've already shifted it - apart from the pallet which needs moving from the drive to the garden. So avoiding an OAT.
Tomorrow I need to call and chase the guttering, as i'll have hit the 5 days of the 3-5 days for delivery. It's frustrating that all three local companies have needed chasing.6 -
I finally booked my car service for next week. Otherwise busy playing in the garden mostly.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Proud of everyone, and I have a day 'off' tomorrow so while I would like to use it sleeping I will be prioritising the jobs that make my heart sink when I see them on the list. Mostly ongoing admin things but it's so easy if they're ongoing for them to continue being ongoing with no change or progress- or enough work having been put into them to be able to fairly sack them off as not plausible at this stage!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Also proud of everyone! Just knowing this thread exists makes me do things BEFORE they become too OAT-like sometimes 😊
Today's example. I wore my Crocs sandals to a conference the other day, and only realised once I was sat in the main hall with my legs crossed just how dusty/grubby they were 😱😂
Of course the advantage of them being crocs is that you can give them a good scrub under the shower with an old toothbrush, which I've clearly never done, but which I did this morning, so now they're as good as new 😂7 -
(That's an odd angle by the way, they do fit properly and they aren't too tight or too short like they look there!)3

Chased the guttering etc only to discover they hadn't had the order. They were extremely helpful and while I was getting hold of the CC company (who have the wrong website for the builders' merchant in their system which meant I was concerned about fraud), they traced the payment in their system - oddly it showed the payment had failed and cancelled the order but then the payment had gone through (CC company says it took 3 goes to process). They are delivering today, and I've cancelled the CC dispute (hopefully!). So while dealing with the local companies has had problems, the two that were easy to get hold of were quickly resolved. The one that was hard to get hold of was quickly resolved once I got hold of them.
So today I really do need to work out what the correct size is for the blind that doesn't fit and arrange for a replacement. They've always been very efficient in the past.5 -
Called about the blind - looks like it was their error, so they have ordered a replacement. Hopefully this time it'll be right...2
