Today I have been mostly painting garden walls and potting on seedlings. A little bit of weeding done too. I am considering painting my shed bright pink because I have been painting white or green for months and I don't think I could stand the paint the shed either of those colours now.
I've checked and noted pay from my old/second job. They are a bit of a nightmare with paying me weeks or months late. I think I'm just owed a bit of mileage now.
It looks like the weather may be changing this week so I can start catching up with some inside jobs.
Have a lovely week everyone!Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

Today I have:
- Fed (with manure and bonemeal) the three roses, and watered them
- Watered the trees
- Filled the garden waste bins - which included more weeding, and cutting back the euonymus I hate (just the stump to dig out now). There's room for a few more buckets of weeds if I get bored.
- Chased the compost delivery (order now processed, communication still poor as I have no clue when it will turn up, but it should be within 48 hours)
- Chased the gravel delivery (order has apparently been processed so they're trying to get hold of the courier to find out where it is)
- Hung out the last load of yesterday's laundry
- Shoved another load of laundry in the machine
- Ordered more muntjac for the dog (and the one cat who eats it)

The dog would eat anything, but it's good for him to have lean meat and offal. One of the cats loves it (and seeing her working hard to eat it rather than just scarfing shredded meat or biscuits is very satisfying). The other insists I'm trying to poison her and flings it out of her bowl...6 -

@beanielou - sometimes paperwork is just annoyingly exhausting.3 admin tasks from this week's list are done and 3 plants are potted up. They look very nice too.4

Ah, I see. Fair enough @greenbee, though the thought of an obligate carnivore being offended by it makes me smile … 😉
I have made some progress on an OAT by ringing the place that I tried to get my winter duvet washed by. Turns out that they are never open on weekends, it’s self service only. However, I should be able to drop it off tomorrow at lunch time and collect it, washed and dried, on Friday lunchtime … 🤞

I forgot to give Mr KK credit for an OAT! 😊 You know those sticky little pad things you put on the inside of kitchen drawers to stop them banging shut? Well the ones on the cutlery and Tupperware drawers had fallen off and the drawer fronts were constantly sticking to the unit frame … 🙄
Mr KK brought in his box of spare bits n bobs from jobs and replaced them 😊👏 You no longer have to yank the drawers open. Officially Hero Husbanding! 😊
In other news, I have asked for a £2 refund from Toscos because two of my satsumas have gone mouldy this week … the glamour … 😂😂😂

Went out and cleared the cleavers from the ditch while the animals had breakfast so the bins were filled before the bin lorry arrived
There are probably some left, but most are gone, and the bins are full. I'm itchy, and had to leave my dog-walking trousers and top outside!

Greenbee - you are a busy bee.
I ran out of compost today so I still haven't finished planting up my pots. Sigh! I will crack on again tomorrow.
I did book a concert and a talk at our local museum. My prioritising of what I like doing v garden chores is fairly obvious 😃2
