Did the main heart sinker admin task on the list, and did a load of laundry including things that needed to have stain remover applied first.
Don't know why I always think putting stain remover on is going to be such a big job, it takes seconds and I don't even mind doing it.
Absolute ton of very boring very important build admin to do tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. But we persevere 💪4 -
The reiki session was lovely yesterday. I woke up feeling so much better this morning and didn't have that knot of anxiety I often have when I wake up.
We had to take our cat to the vet today for a procedure. I was quite nervous as she is going to be 20 years old in a month and she had to be sedated. I managed to finish my current book as a distraction. That is still only 9 books now. I don't know why I'm being so slow this year! I did order a library book that I will pick up next week and I also wrote some notes for my therapy session tomorrow. They said she seems okay now so my husband is picking her up soon.5 -

Well everyone seems to be smashing their oats which is fabulous to see. Well done each and all.
I have been taught a lesson by an OAT in that I complained to an upmarket seller of plants online the other day. I forgot to mention it here because it seemed trivial and quite frivolous that I had spent too much money on 6 little pelargoniums I fancied and couldn’t find locally. Anyhow the baby plants I’d ordered and paid vast sums of cash on hadn’t arrived within timescale so I complained as you do. I bought more plants locally (too many!) and filled all but two of the planters assigned to the pelargoniums which I’d almost written off reading recent Trustpilot reviews.
Eeek they arrived today brimming with vim and vigour. Unpacked them, put them on a tray in my office, gave them a drink and spray. Closed the door so the cats can’t get them and now I’m almost scared of them! It’s supposed to be cold up here tonight so afraid to put them out. I feel a victim of my own fault! Just look at them and if I’m honest I’ve no clue other than they like full sunlight! Currently rubbing hand lotioninto my green fingers and hoping…

RIP Mum & Dad - thanks for helping me on my journey to be
Debt and Mortgage free from 20186 -
It's the last week of the month, the time when I have a big push on the OATs. I'm going to list tomorrows now, before bed, to set the intention.
I need to go to the post office and post my father's birthday present (end of May) and my stepmother's birthday present (end of March - oops!), I should probably also pay in a cheque while I'm there (not technically an OAT) and pick up a friend's prescription.
My weekend will be spent catching up with some much overdue work and house work. I've been enjoying the sunshine in the garden a little too much lately and doing outside chores, ignoring the inside stuff.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

With the help of a very kind friend, my raspberry frames, which have been lying on the ground for well over a year, are now constructed and in situ. Two HUGE tasks off the list. The shed guttering is also done and the plumber is booked to do the IBCs on Tuesday (must swap out the pallet before then for one of the new ones which is the correct size).5

I did not get the ton of build admin done yesterday. Today I will.
Eventually.
How is there only one week of May left?!2 -
I've just realised I can write on my fridge with a white board marker! I've written meal suggestions on there to use stuff up. Game changer!
In other news I'm having a major clean and tidy because I've neglected the house again this week. Quite excited to try out my new mop and bucket soon!
I've put up a string curtain to try to keep my chickens out of my conservatory. Very much reliving my childhood by walking through it.
The only OAT for today is to put drain cleaner down the sink, which I've been forgetting to do for a few weeks.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

OAT’ing today was unpacking the dishwasher that arrived (literally) months ago <shame faced shuffle 😂> as well as taking the drawer and shelf out of and the door off the unit that needs to be removed to install it, so visually the gap is ‘looking at’ Mr KK everyday … (it’s fallen too far down his list!)
Also, swopped over the cutlery drawer insert and refilled it. It works really well - very proud of myself for getting this job done 😊
Adulting (what becomes OATs if left too long) today included:
- taking Chloe to the V. E. T. for her final check up, jabs and deworming / deflecting sticky neck.
- Submitting meter readings for gas and electric as soon as I got the reminder email! 💪
KKAs at 15.07.25:

Potted on some teeny tiny plug plants that arrived last week along with the ones that arrived yesterday. They look bigger already in the new bigger cells. Need to !!!!!! out a whole lot of nicotiana and ragged robin seedlings. I suspect I'll only bother with the decent sized ones and compost the tiddlers.
I have a whole muntjac (thankfully off the bone) in the fridge to prep and freeze for pet food, but first need to pick cavolo nero and spinach for myself to eat!3
