What a fridge writing revelation @rachmac3! Your string curtain has taken me back to childhood too, I thought those multi-coloured bead door curtains were magical 😍
Amazing adulting and OATing @KajiKita. Hope Chloe can't read 👀😁

Well I tried to do the enormous pile of build admin but technology defeated me. I did however chase people for solutions, and get a good plan in place for what needs to be chased next week. Tomorrow I will at least look through all the documents I can't currently fill in so I can get the relevant info ready3 -

String curtain is working on the chickens so far! One dog has figured out she can go through it and she's the one that likes to come and go so we're winning. The chickens did however beat me back to the conservatory this morning, when I'd pulled the string curtain back, so I took that as a sign that they were happy to have a bath. They have very fluffy butts and without going into too much detail that is not always a good thing in summer. I trimmed some butt feathers with nail clippers. Theirs not mine.
My OATS for today are work related but I don't mind because I have had a very lazy week, and I much rathered be in the garden on the sunny days than be in my office. It's drizzly today so I will probably have quite a few breaks from work and sow some seeds in the garden while the soil is damp.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

I finally re-assembled the boxing in panels in the cloakroom. Some had to be removed for the leak repair and I was worried about damaging it when I put it back so I was avoiding it. Couple of administrative OATs for me today - paid the car tax (letter has been sat on the table for almost 3 weeks) and paid band subs (after a third email about it). No idea why i was putting off either!
Also moved things around to get easier access through the garage door. That's a massive job that'll take far longer than I had today, but at least there's a path through!4 -
Got as much build admin as I could do done before technology stopped play but at least ingress has occurred5

When my cat had to have an operation the other day the vet found lots of fur inside her where she must have been licking and biting her pet bed! I had to buy her a new pet bed without any fur on it as I don't want that happening again. She only has about 2 teeth so I'm not even sure how she did that.
I washed the pet beds yesterday and we have 4 of them so I did 5 loads including my normal wash. I want to keep the beds for our other dog so we needed storage as they are very bulky. We moved the furniture around again and my husband went to buy a second hand wardrobe for more storage which is being delivered tomorrow.
I can't believe May is nearly over already.

Yesterday evening I changed BOTH car key batteries as one had squawked when I got in the car. And I had the sense to watch a video on YT first to make sure I got it right. Then I changed the cat flap batteries as those were getting low (I'd been waiting for the batteries. And some books have been put away too.
Dog-walking rain coat has been washed and is on the line - it'll go in the WM later.
Cat bedding is being washed and cat beds have been made up with nice clean bedding ready for when they bring things into kill in the utility room... Storage for dog and cat bedding is always an issue here too Wednesday. In theory there is plenty of room in the utility room. In practice it is so badly laid out that there isn't.4 -
Today I need to save Carl, my sourdough starter. I found him hiding in the back of the fridge yesterday looking very worse for wear. He can stay on the worktop and get fed for a few days. Who knows I might even getting inspired to bake some bread this week. I also need to submit a gas meter reading. The rest of the day will be mostly work with a little spattering of housework.
