Yes it is your New Style ESA claim only.
New Style ESA only ever pays for the individual, they do not pay a couples rate etc.
UC is replacing 6 income related benefits.
Contributions Based ESA is not an income based benefit.0 -

Even though you do not benefit financially from having an ESA claim alongside a UC claim, there are other reasons why it makes sense to do so. It pays class 1 NI whereas UC only pays class 3. Some people like the fact ESA is paid fortnightly as opposed to monthly for UC because it helps them with budgeting. Also NS ESA is not means tested. Whilst that might not make a difference currently if you where to inherit some money or win the lottery in the future, this might impact or even close any UC claim but your NS ESA claim will be unaffected..
Given all that, if you really want to you can just close the ESA claim. You will not be worse off financially.0 -
A scenario to consider is you come into a modest amount of money, which means UC ends.
When that money reduces to the point you can claim again, having the NS ESA award still active means no repeat Work Capability Assessment and automatic entitlement to LCWRA, as happens with the migration from legacy benefits.0 -

The reason they've converted your contributions-based ESA to new-style ESA is you're still legally entitled to that benefit.
It's up to you whether you keep that claim open or not, but in this situation where it's doing no harm (it's not nilling your UC, for instance) I'm of the view of 'keep your options open'. If things change, then time to reevaluate, but for now there's no reason to close it. And is anything did happen in the future like coming into a lump sum higher than would allow you to stay on UC, you'll be glad of the ESA to still have some income. (Because it's a contributory benefit and you're not working, you wouldn't be able to reclaim in the future if you were to close it now.)0 -

So we have recieved estimate of UC award is as follows;
Standard Allowance:£628.10✅
Hounsing :£275.34😮
Carer :£201.68✅
Lcwra :£423.27✅
Trans Protection :£764.52?
Max UC :£2292.90 Minus
State pension :£997.75 &
New style ESA :£609.05 Equals
:£686.10 UC award!!!!!!!
It seems to me most of the elements are correct except the Hounsing element😦This should be £550.68(I believe);& the trans protection element should be £489.17 ✅
This is £764.51 minus £275.34;(trans protection element of £489.17👍
Why is Hounsing element only half of what it should be?
As stated all other elements are OK😊
