Thank you Both for your replies👍

With regard to Carers Allowance I do Not recieve this; currently:

    The reason why was when my wife became State pension age(June 24”),her entitlement to stay my Carer Ended;
We still received a Carer Premium on my/our esa claim as my wife had an underlying entitlement to this(hope this makes sense)

So as I am in the support group(LCWRA) I will be entitled to the support allowance from the start of my/our UC claim.(yes/no)

Will my wife be able to recieve the Carer Element of UC for me.(yes/no)from start of UC claim.
My wife is still my carer😊

At present we still recieve full Housing Benifit of £254.16 every 2weeks(£508.32 every 4 weeks)

We will start Our UC migration shortly & just wanted to get information& get ahead of this whole process.

    Thank You All once again😊

Yes you will be entitled to the UC-LCWRA from the start of your claim.
I would need to check if your partner could still get the UC Carer Element.
You can't normally have a LCWRA Element and a Carer Element at the same time.
However I think it's possible if the LCWRA is for one partner and the Carers for the other partner- but that may be only if the cared for person is not one of the couple?
Anybody else able to clarify that point?

By my reckoning UC would be…

    Standard Allowance (couple) £628.10

    Housing Element (estimated) £550.68

    LCWRA £423.27

    Carer Element £201.68

    Total (before Transitional Protection): £1803.73

**Plus Transitional Protection to compensate for loss of Pensioner Premium (I estimate about £630)**

    Deductions…

    New Style ESA -£609.05

    State Pension -£997.75

I think that would make your UC Award roughly £825 per month.

I’ll double check my sums, but that’s my best guess as UC will replace the income-related ESA (so the “premiums” you were receiving on ESA) and Housing Benefit.

State Pension, contributions based ESA* and PIP will pay alongside on their normal pay cycles.

*contributions based ESA will convert to New Style ESA, paid at £281.10 per fortnight.

In a couples claim you can have one Carer Element & one LCWRA, the same person cannot get both.
It's often recommended to maximise entitlement if for example both would qualify for LCWRA, instead where applicable one claims CE the other claims LCWRA.

However as in this case the person seeking CE is state pension age, I'm not confident enough to advise on whether they would qualify.

They would - as long as they report they’re a Carer (and caring 35hrs p/wk for someone in receipt of a qualifying disability benefit) the Carers Element would apply.

Pension-age individuals can also get LCW or LCWRA too (without a WCA - it can be passported by qualifying disability benefits).

Normal rules on only 1x LCWRA element per couple apply etc, so 1x LCWRA and 1x Carers Element can be quite common (both members of the couple technically qualifying for both, but only one of each being able to be paid).

Thanks all for clarifying that point.
I knew that one partner could have a LCWRA element and the other partner a Carer element. (I also knew that being over SPA was no bar to getting Carer element or LCWRA element).
I just wasn't so sure if the carer element could be paid if the cared-for-person was the partner with the LCWRA element.
(I think I had a doubt because it's one of those where they tend to 'forget' to include it until you poke them?)

    Thanks for All your replies👍

So as stated l am in the Support Group& wife cares for me 35 plus hours so will/should get the Carer Premium✅(Obviously will have to inform UC when we start the process):

Is it true that i & my wife will not have to seek work(just like our current situation.
    Any advice/clarity welcomed.

Your wife will not be required to look for employment she's reached SPA so not required to do so.  So don't worry!
