    Yes your UC award should at least match your legacy benefits.

    UC is a monthly benefit so you need to convert HB & ESA into monthly amounts.

    To do this you multiply the weekly amount by 52 then divide by 12.

    So HB £127.08 times 52 equals £6608.16 divide by 12 equals £550.68👍

    SoESA £162.75 times 52 equals £8463.00 divide by 12 equals £705.25👍

    So HB&ESA totals come to!!!!!!!!!!!

    !!!! £1265.93 per month😊

    So we should at least recieve this amount when we get our UC award(monthly)✅

        Thanks:Cheers👍

    Just Noticed!!!!!!

    HB&ESA totals should be £1255.93 per month✅(Correct Amount)
    This should be our new UC award total(at the very least)👍

      £550.68 HB
      £705.25 ESA
    £1255.93 😊

    Also on one of my previous posts;
    3rd of June at 5.54pm I posted Update;
    On the 30th May I contacted “Help to Claim”
    & they gave me an estimate of what my/our
    UC award would be:!!!!

    This Estimate was £1255.93😦 “Amazing/Unbelievable”(any thoughts)

    With regard to posting previous posts!!!!
    Sorry I do not know how to do this😩
    (Namely  the 3rd June)

    Cheers All💕

    So the Help to Claim’ estimate of UC is made up as follows;

    Standard Allowance: £628.10
    Hounsing                 : £550.68
    Carer                       : £201.68
    LCWRA                   : £423.27
    Trans Protection     : £449.95

    Max UC                  :£2253.67 Minus Deductions
    State pension        :£997.75 equals

    Total Monthly UC. :£1255.93✅✅✅

    So ESA&HB before Claiming UC;

    Esa: £705.25
    HB : £550.68
    Equals              “1255.93”✅👍😊

    So I am just Confirming that this is the amount of UC I should of at least be Recieving”(so I/We will be no worse of)💕

    Someone please Clarify😊

    Thanks 👍

    You will get £1,255.93/month between your NS-ESA and the UC.

    The actual breakdown will be:
    ESA: £281.10 every two weeks (equivalent to £609.05/month)
    UC: £646.88 every month

    So l have recieved letter from council;
    Re: HB&CTR stating that these awards have been suspended because UC Data Share😦

    I know about the 2 week run on for HB, but what should/will happen with regard to council tax reduction?

    We currently get 75 per cent off!!! (we are paying some council tax)(approx)

    So our council knows we are/have made a claim for UC👍(this is good)!

    Still worried about the Council tax reduction
    😦

    Any advice/guidance Re: Council Tax

    Thanks to All💕

    Council Tax Reduction should recalculate your entitlement once UC award starts.

    As CTR is decided upon at a local level it's very hard to advise on individual cases from here.

    Some areas do treat UC differently to legacy benefits and some people have seen a reduced CTR award, so an increase in what they have to pay towards Council Tax.
