    Thank you Spoonie Turtle👍

So today we recieved Esa&Hounsing Benifit payment(normal payment date)✅

Will this be our last payments of these Benifits until we recieve our 1st payment of UC?

Also do we have to contact the Council re Hounsing/Council tax to inform them of move to UC?

    Thanks All once more😊

    So today we recieved letter from ESA dated the 4th of June stating that “Your Income Related ESA will end on the 02/06/2025;
We have recieved your Universal Credit(UC) Claim.

Is this Confirmation that UC & ESA actually Communicate with each other yes/no.
    Please Clarify😊

Letter also states if you get HB or CTR your local authority will write to you about this:

So; When I say we recieved a letter today, it was actually just addressed to me!

Why is this letter Not addressed to Both of Us when my wife has been on my esa claim for many years;(Surely her claim, part of is Ending too).

    Am I just being foolish/silly💕

Question; Does this letter confirm I/we were Only Income related esa & have/had no contributory esa element?

    ‘Still none the wiser’😩

    Any response/guidance/ thoughts welcomed😊

    Thanks to All once more❤️

You're contribution related with income related top up. We established that earlier in the thread using the Christmas bonus the contribution part will involve a phone call to switch it over to New Style ESA from conts legacy ESA. So eventually you will get an appointment date to discuss that part commitments etc on your journal.  Your wife should also receive a letter regarding her claim.

The letter you just received is about income related ESA ending only.

An ESA claim is never a Joint-Claim.
All ESA claims are in one persons name and it is their claim.
Only one person has a Work Capability Assessment, only one person is awarded ESA.
If that named person has a partner, and is eligible for IR ESA, then a couples amount can be paid. (But it's not a joint claim).
Partners can each have seperate CB ESA claims in their own names, providing that each qualifies under the contribution criteria, and each has had their own WCA.
However CB ESA is not migrating to UC anyway.

Anything else income related Will be paid by monthly UC.

Your contribution new Style ESA Amount is £140.55
Paid every 2 weeks so the amount is made up from highlighted amounts.

You will get an appointment on your journal. They may have stated, "We tried to call you and arrange an appointment date to discuss New Style ESA commitments." Once that's done, you will probably receive the NSESA letter you're claiming now. It's a long-winded process they have to do legally.

So just to ask/clarify that once you recieve our 1st payment of UC we should be no worse of on our previously getting on legacy benifits(namely ESA&HB).

Re:HB: We were getting £127.08 per week(£508.32 every 4 weeks)

    Re:ESA:we were/should have been getting £162.75 per week(£651.00 every 4 weeks)

    So £508.32 HB plus
         £651.00 ESA  equals
       £1159.32✅

So I/we should at least recieve this amount in our 1st UC award👍(we may get more, who knows”)

    Please Clarify/Confirm💕

    Thanks All”
