So just another issue!(concern)😦
With regard to this New style esa?
I still have Not recieved any message(s) on my/our UC journal(s)& any phone calls to call whoever regarding “ Claimant Commitments” for this New style esa😦
We claimed on the 2nd of June (joint claim)& ID was given on 4th of June(Verified)✅
We check on journal(s) most days but still nothing about signing “Commitments” for New style esa😦We have recieved letter from esa DWP as stated earlier that from 16th of June your esa will be £140.55 a week✅Will/should we get call/message from UC or DWP regarding this?
This is playing on my mind😩
Any advice/guidance most Appreciated💕
Thanks once more👍0 -
A UC Journal message should appear at some point, giving a telephone appointment for agreeing New Style ESA commitments. Possibly a letter in the post.
Even if the notification comes through UC you have to deal with ESA for any issues as UC won't be able to help.

So if we get a UC message/notification on journal why would we have to deal with esa?
Will/Should we have to call them now(esa), just so Confusing/Stressfull😦
Please Clarify😊
Thanks KxMx👍
Thanks All💕0 -
UC and ESA are separate benefits, administered separately.
I don't know why the NS ESA appointment comes via UC sometimes but that is very much the exception to the rule, so to speak.
Any ESA issue would need to be dealt with via ESA and not UC.0 -
So will l have to contact esa ….Now?
Will I just hope that I/we recieve something via UC or DWP in the next days/week or so?
What will happen if l/we do Not recieve any thing from either UC/ESA befit we recieve our 1st UC payment?
Sorry to be so negative ; but it’s just so Confusing😮
Thanks KxMx 👍
Appreciate Input 👍0 -
It appears that ESA can't keep up with the rate that claimants are now being migrated to UC and so the ESA Claimant Commitments might be delayed. The NS ESA commitment appointment (following a migration) is usually done over the phone and takes about 10 mins. (I understand that it's mainly them reading out that you will inform them of any changes in your circumstances and you saying that you agree).0

No you don't need to contact them, they will contact you eventually.
Payment at £281.10 a fortnight should continue regardless.
Sit tight and wait is all you need to do.0 -
@Claretblue75
To give you a rough idea. It may take about 2 months after claiming UC before you are contacted by Job Centre regarding New Style ESA claimant commitment. This is due to the volume of claims being dealt with.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.2 -
Thanks to you All;👍

So today recieved letter from ESA stating l will be changing to New style ESA👍
Also confirms that they will contact me to book an appointment to complete a New style claim & accept “ Claimant Commitment”
So I will just Wait for next letter/phone call👍
Can anyone Confirm to me is this New style ESA claim just for me & Not my wife (who recieves full State Pension) ?Will it just be myself to “Agree this Claimant Commitment ?
Also Just Curious ; Why I would Still be on “New style esa/ any Esa when being Migrated to UC?
“What’s the point” if you should recieve the same amount of Benifit once Migrated onto Universal Credit😮
Any comment/response Wellcommed👍Cheers All once more😊0
