That is correct, the interest is tiered. The first £3999 gets only 1.5%, and then the amount between £4-5k gets 3%. Anything above £5k gets no interest.2

Ahh that’s a shame. Still a good account though for main account.0

I’ve just swapped over from a Club Lloyds and everything seemed seamless. Today 24hrs later I now have access to Bupa appointments and availability is great.Since I’m new to private health, how are private prescriptions charged? I’m guessing you just pay for the medication ? If so, are typical antibiotics or steroid creams quite cheap, I mean it’s no point in getting a ‘free’ consultation if you’re then charged a high ££££ for any medication .After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

"The cost of your private prescription will vary depending on the medication you’ve been prescribed and the dispensing fee charged. When you take your private prescription to a Boots pharmacy, a member of the pharmacy team will confirm the price of your prescription with you, before they dispense it."
Some pharmacies won't accept private prescriptions. Boots will, but you'll need to check with others directly.
The BUPA doctor might send the prescription direct to a pharmacy for you, electronically, which would make it easier, but not necessarily cheaper.0 -
That’s correct. It’s tiered interest.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

The BUPA doctor might send the prescription direct to a pharmacy for you, electronically, which would make it easier, but not necessarily cheaper. They all prescribe through services like FreeRX, SRX or Clynxx. Different chains support different schemes (Boots doesn't do Clynxx for example). Awareness in individual pharmacies is poor as well - Clynxx advertise that scripts can be made up in Well and Morrisons but I tried one of each and neither would touch it.I ended up using the delivery solution Clynxx offered in the end as it was such a goose chase.1 -
