I’ve had notification this morning that the new debit card details are in the app. I’ve checked and they’re there. However it says my Apple Pay has been updated with the new card but it hasn’t - and attempting to add the card details manually says the card isn’t available, however I’ve made a payment successfully just entering the details manually to pay a bill. I’m guessing it’ll update at some point in the next day or so….?
Ignore me - it’s all updated now
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Anyone got any bright ideas on the debit card spend to get the £10 cash back by the way. It’s essentially £1000/month spend but won’t allow the usual transactions (gambling, credit cards etc)
Just do your normal shopping on it. People who are able to pay £5k per month into the account should have no worries spending £1k over the course of a month.

Could someone kindly explain exactly what the BUPA etc benefits are?

GP appointments - does this mean you bypass your normal GP ? How would you use these in practice?

Physio appointments - is this something you would just routinely go to or would you have to be injured to go there? why would you go to a physio appointment otherwise ?

Fitness and wellbeing - are these exercise classes?  real.or online?

Maybe there is a link to the BUPA site that describes everything you get does anybody have this ?

New debit card arrived today, less than 48 hours after I upgraded. In a nice little flat pull out box…..

I have the ability to see a private GP through health insurance at work and also Medicash benefit, also provided by my employer.

They both encourage you to use an app to book a video appointment but there are face to face options.

    The main gotchas are:
    1. They won't see you for ongoing illnesses, it's intended to be use for stuff that comes up like infections, rashes, bites etc.
    2. They cannot issue NHS prescriptions, so you're on the hook for the full cost of any medications. It's also not trivial finding a pharmacy that'll take a private prescription - there are several services and most pharmacies only support one or some of them.
Basically - you are still going to need your NHS GP, but you might be able to see your private GP service quicker when you need it for non-ongoing stuff.

I was just on the chat with Lloyds and they told me if you don't meet the £5k per month criteria, yo can't just pay the £15 per month account fee, they won't let you have the account.

I must have misunderstood it, I thought you could do that.

Strange. If you pay in £5k a month or have £100,000 in savings with them the fee is waived. If you don't pay in that amount, or dont have the £100,000 savings you can't have the account. So who pays the fee. I have the savings, upgraded from a Club Lloyds Current Acct, and was told the fee would be waived

The Lloyds Premier Account Welcome pack states:

"To be eligible for this account, you must:
     • pay in £5,000 or more every month, or
     • have at least £100,000 in qualifying savings or investments with us.

We’ll refund the £15 account fee every month that you meet the criteria. If you aren’t meeting this, we’ll let you know."

It doesn't specify what happens after they've "let you know".

I'm going to use this as my main account but can someone clarify the credit interest part:

Earn variable credit interest paid monthly on any money you have in your Lloyds Premier account between £1 and £5,000.

    • 1.50% AER (1.49% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on balances between £1 and £3,999.99
    • 3.00% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on any part of the balance between £4,000 and £5,000
    • You won’t earn interest on any part of your balance over £5,000

If I have, say, £4500 balance, will I get 3% on the whole amount or just the £500 above the £3,999. It reads that if I have £5000 I will only get the 3% on £1000 of the balance.
