Hi soolin
Sorry I wasn't clear, I did waffle on a bit
It was just saying that in the Active Items view, where I've selected Simple Delivery, it says "you pay" (i.e. seller pays) for postage, even though I have set it up for the buyer to pay the postage.
When a potential buyer views the item, they (correctly) see "buyer pays".
I.e. there is a difference between the buyer's view (correct), and what it says in my list of Active Items (incorrect).
Where I have chosen my own postage option, in the Active Items it correctly shows that the buyer pays the postage.
Just wondered if this was just a glitch in the Active Items view, or something I should worry about / try to sort out.1 -
Just out of interest, I posted a parcel this morning (not eBay) and I asked the lady in the Post Office if they had been told anything about Simple Delivery and she said they knew nothing about it. As has been said, I don’t think eBay realise that Royal Mail and the Post Office are different companies.None of my listings have changed today .0

I am always interested in cause and effect - and there is certainly some strangeness on ebay at the moment.
As many of us thought the sudden switch supposedly yesterday to all eligible listings switching to SD hasn't happened. However, I did switch most of my items that were parcel size over to SD as the headline cost to the buyer was cheaper- and both my local PO and a fairly local shop will accept Evri parcels.
Interestingly I am having the best sales I have had in months, but everything selling, apart from one thing so far, has been via Evri . Some of this stuff has bene listed for months without a nibble.
Whether this is a 'reward' by ebay for switching to SD , or whether it is the price I don't know as most of my things were fairly cheap, so saving money on postage looks good. There's even a chance that there has been a large number of private sellers who have temporarily hidden their items - and that leaves more buyers for those of us still selling.
The downside is I am completing neglecting my business account, which is mainly LL items, but I am certainly making inroads into clearing years of hoarded stuff. I've also bundled up a few smaller private items to make use of the SD parcel size and that's worked as well.

I had one today where I had listed to ship as a large letter. A bidder made a bid that I accepted and it changed the method of delivery to evri. The customer ended up paying 3.77 for delivery rather than 1.90. I then had to find out where the nearest evri drop spot is which is considerably further than my local post office.0

1. If I have my items set to auto-relist, and I have custom postage now, but it auto-relists after the 15th April does the postage change to simple delivery?0 -

It looks like another ebay fail where they rushed to implement something before they actually had the infrastructure in place to do so.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Has anyone tried these QR codes with a 'difficult' Post Office?
That concerns me, as the local has a habit of rejecting anything prepaid.0 -

going forward lets think of the positives,
- a lot of my items were listed at £3.69 RM 2nd class Parcel, now it's telling me that the buyer will pay only £2.84
- I'm not going to have to print and stick on lables anymore, just go to the PO and show my QR code
- Not going to have to keep records and proof of postage receipts
- Don't have to deal with postage claims
