Can't imagine what it must be like to be in the red zone. Its wild enough in the amber. Hope you don't get anymore damage.

Thankfully the wind has calmed down a lot here now and I can make an attempt to be cosy now that it has stopped whistling down the chimney and rattling the windows. Time to light the fire and close the curtains.
Roast dinner planned (thanks to co-op reductions) and I am tempted to cobble some sort of cake or pudding together too while the oven is on. Baked egg custard springs to mind, or caramel custard which would use up the elderly eggs and the last of the cream.
Have a lovely cosy evening everyone.

Usual Friday finish work early then a lovely soak in the bath by candlelight. Next on the list is a glass of wine and feet up on the sofa watching TV. Best of all - no work for two whole days 🥳
Thankfully not really been hit by the storm here, sending my thoughts to those who have.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -

My cosy friday was a good day at work followed by a tasty jacket potato for tea, a nice sweaty workout and bit of TV with the youngest. Probably not everyone's idea of cosy but ive enjoyed it!
Nearly opted for gin but just didn't fancy it tbh. Stuck with water but may have a hot chocolate in a bit before bed.Nov/Dec 24 £39 564

We also had jacket potatoes, with a selection of toppings - various bits and bobs taking up room in the fridge.
We have the the stove and spent the evening enjoying a feel good film.
