I always say Sunday becomes Smonday around 4pm. There is a general gloominess that sets in around that time 😆
    Yes indeed. Weird isn't it?

Apologies for the hijack @Blackcats, hope you don't mind us briefly using your thread for Blummin' Marvellous Monday

I actually feel dire today 😂
But not to be deterred, I am progressing not one but two very boring but necessary jobs. Though I will be requiring frequent tea and cake. Hope everyone's Blummin' Marvellous Monday has got off to a good start

PIP - I'm enjoying marvellous Monday and talk of Sunday evenings.  As a kid it was always hair washing on a Sunday evening.  I dreaded it because I had long, thick, tangly hair and there was no hair conditioner to make the combing ordeal any easier.  my mum was not very gentle or patient as she tugged relentlessly at the birds nests that had formed in my hair.

Tackling the filing today - real paper filing and sorting out an out of control email inbox.  I have always hated filing and in my first job I had a hidden stash of papers that should have been filed.  The dread of the pile of papers being discovered was probably far far worse than actually doing the filing.

Well my horrible jobs for blue Monday have been taking a load of old electrical stuff to recycle. What did we do with it all before recycling became a thing?  Just chucked it in landfill!   Now to start thinking about tackling all the other jobs so that Friday can be cosy again.

I sorted out some financial bits for marvellous monday - registering for internet banking etc, moving some money, and using the debit card so I qualify for the switch.  Hate doing these things. Need to update the 'where does mother keep the money' book too.

My husband took the donation bag to the charity shop and tried to apply for his passport at the post office. He couldn't do it at our local one so he came back and did it online. I have done a load of laundry and started a new book on my kindle. Now I'm just watching YouTube videos. I just switched to the BBC and see Trump is being sworn in!🤪

We are starting a new show tonight. The Pitt. It has the guy from ER in it and it got good reviews.

I have two classes this week and a haircut booked. I am off out on Friday and Saturday so I'm not sure if Friday will be particularly cosy.😃

Marvellous Marvellous Monday work @Blackcats. I too remember Sunday evenings being tears and tantrums as my mum tried to get my birds nests out!

What a satisfying thing to achieve @Makingabobor2, and hopefully gives you some extra space here and there freed up for other productive tasks when you're in the mood

Oh well done @redofromstart, I really hate those types of jobs too. So easy to put off but will now hopefully hugely benefit you. For all my grumbling about tech, internet banking is so, so handy

Passport getting done must be a big relief @Wednesday2000. I'm sure you can take the inner essence of cosiness with you when you're out on Friday

Well I did my two big jobs that kept being put off, of tedious form filling and sending off, and of course they were not as awful as dreaded though I am darn relieved to have them out the way!
Beer and pizza now for my reward. Thanks for helping motivate me everyone, enjoy your Blu-mmin' Marvellous Monday treats this evening!

I always download R2 Unwinds from Sunday evening as I’m fast asleep by 10pm when it’s live. Then I listen to it on Monday morning when I’m walking to work for a gentle start to Monday. It definitely fits into the cosy theme.

I did manage to progress a work task I keep putting off so pleased with that. Also being shocked by the annual travel insurance quote being more than double last year’s price spurred me on to compare prices. Got it for less than last year’s price and it took 5 minutes 🙂
