Still pondering what cosiness I can include in the day, but will make a start by joining Blackcats in the fluffy sock department, and choosing a nice piece of jewellery- today I think will be a vintage silver pendant my friend gave me, a lovely miniature tree against a skyscape in an ornate design.
I've still got mince pies so they might make an appearance mid morning too 😁https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Ooh is that a Little Wenlock stove KK? There's one in this holiday cottage and I really like it. Chloe clearly approves too.I will mostly be driving today but once I am home the fire will be lit and I hope to be surrounded by purring cats, rather than being sulked at for daring to be away. No idea what we will be eating though, although I am taking lots of cheese home.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I'm about to have a bath with the lovely bath salts I bought the other day. I'm going to wear a cosy red polo neck jumper I forgot I had. I haven't ever worn it before!
It is very grey and rainy outside. I always have my fairy lights all year round in my living room, but I will light a candle too. I'm going to make creamy mushroom soup today for lunch.3 -
Only just spotted this. My cosiness today will be pottering in the kitchen. Marmalade day with other smaller tasks during the waiting times."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Good afternoon everyone
Just home from work and for the first time in ages I'm actually looking forward to this evening! I think DH wants to watch something on Netflix tonight, one of the Harlan Coben series. I've watched a few and they've all been good, so I'm sure this one will too. It's called Missing You (I think).3 -
I am going to transfer my "cosy Friday" to "cosy Saturday evening" as I am out tonight. I am a Chair of Trustees of a local charity and we are having a supper for all of the Trustees and Board. I really looking forward to it as we've have had such a hard year - eventful but ultimately super successful - so it'll be nice to chill with everyone over a lovely meal and a nice glass of wine. I am walking there and back so no need to worry about cars etc - I am hoping it'll be a cold and crisp walk back.
I've loved reading everyone's ideas this week - and I'll definitely be carrying on into February. I'll make myself something hearty for supper tomorrow and snuggle up with my heated throw and a book I think.
Happy Fredagsmy-ing everyone

Well there's absolutely no doubt that cats (and tortoises) are experts at being cosy! What a fabulous collection of pets have joined us overage last 3 Fridays.
PIP - necklace sounds nice. Aren't fluffy socks a joy?@redofromstart - once you light the fire the cats will forgive you for being away, cheese is good.
@Wednesday2000- delighted to hear you've got a "new" jumper to wear.
@purpleivy - I bet the smell of your marmalade making is giving your home a great cosy atmosphere.
@beanielou - hope the cats complied and snuggled with you.
@RandomOne - so nice that you are looking forward to this evening. It's been such a joy to share cosy ideas with lovely people and I think we've all be emitted from embracing rather than enduring the last 3 Fridays.
it's February tomorrow - so looking forward to seeing the first snowdrops.
OH has been to the dentist so I've stayed home, enjoyed a hot chocolate, with a cat on my lap and watched The Apprentice. OH hates it and although it's not an obvious cosy choice of viewing it makes me feel very content to be at home because when I was still working I had to be away from home 2 Thursdays a month so had to watch it in a hotel room.
curry feast tonight using bits and bobs from the freezer and a dahl I've just cooked and home made onion bhajis. House smells very nice with all the lovely spices.
I might watch an episode of Inspector Morse tonight. It's my all time favourite tv detective show and although I've seen them all many times I still like them. Although I've never watched the final ever episode, The Remorseful Day as I think it's too sad.3
