Nice to see you London1, I hope you are fully recovered now. I am sorry to hear about your friend.x
Florenceem, well done. MIL had an ulcer on her leg which whatever they did over about 6 years never healed. She wouldn't help herself though. Physio told her to stand up regularly and also sit with her legs up but she knew best. She thought someone should come to the house and physically do the physio for her! I know Mr F isn't that stubborn and luckily follows advice and even more lucky you are on the ball. My Mum had cellulitis last year, It was a right mess. It took a good few weeks to sort at home with 2 lots of strong antibiotics and the standing up and elevated legs.It did make her feel poorly in general but she is fine now.
Brambling, just look at that cheeky face!
I got all my holiday clothes out of the wardrobe today, I tried a lot on. I could easily go on a months holiday and wear a different outfit every night! I only have weeks worth of day time holiday clothes though. Some things will be going to the charity shop but I haven't looked through the chest of drawers yet. I am sure there will be more.
Off to see a friend in my old village that I haven't seen for a while tomorrow.
take care all Vx

Hi all, goodish day today. 1 LDFPA, 3 bin bags of offcuts of carpet and underlay from the loft binned, not sure why we kept them but they are gone. Couldn't do much more uo there as the landing isn't cleared yet and it was so dusty I will have to get some proper masks or I will be sneezing for a year 😂. 2 bags of chopped garden into the green bin as it had been emptied this morning 😁 and a session of ironing 😁.
@florianatwobob glad you're friend was at Wembley to see it 😁. I can imagine they had a brilliant time 😁. I don't mind a bit of rugby either, my ddad took me to see the springboks when I was 4 but at heart he was a football fan and I followed in his footsteps 😁. I had a great friend who was mad about St. Helen's and she used to make me laugh when I talked football, "wrong shaped balls" was a favourite saying of hers 😂.
@Vulpix yes I am hoping the loft can be sorted, there is some insulation up there but not enough to meet the current recommendations so I have my fingers crossed 😁. Glad Mr V is enjoying the football this season 😁. After over 50 years of going to the match I have learned to take the rough with the smooth and not get too excited until near the end of the season 😁.
@_Dolly_Rocker_ some good use ups there 😁
@Florenceem well done for getting the Dr to look and listen to you, big hugs
@London_1 nice to see you, so sorry about your friend but as you say remember the happy times, hugs. Also sorry to hear you have been unwell but glad you are on the mend now 😁
@Brambling lovely photo 😁.
Right off to bed now. I have to be up and at em in the morning to get to the cake decorating rather than up drinking a cuppa 😂
Hugs to everyone who would like one
340 LDFPA
341 - 343 carp from the loft
344 & 345 garden waste
346 ironing
Take care everyone

Glad to see you back JackieO sorry you haven't been well. Condolences on the loss of you old friendDizzycap said:@ Brambling - I had to laugh at your adorablby naughty cat. I love an animal that really knows it's own mind and is determined to be naughty when eyes aren't watchingAnd a hard day of being naughty she would curl up on you and suck her tail to go to sleep
ABSOLUTELY Gorgeous!I'd have her in a hreatbeat and those gorgeous mischievous wise eyes and her tortoise colouring with that gorgeous white chest & those feet!
I can understand why losing Poppy would be exceedingly heartbreaking. In fact I'm sitting here welling up and I've shed a few tears
WOW this thread has moved on rapidlyI'm never going to catch up with all the posts
@ Muddy_Walker - I'm not in the least offended as the point of concern that you've raised with regards to raw hide products, is exceedingly valid. The so called 'raw hide' I was refering to was given to her on her last visit to the VET by her Vet- Not that she's spoilt
It's not the typical standard cheap glued dyed etc variety, which I would never give her in a millon years
It's a 100% natural, no flavour, just rolled without glue etc It's more like a semi soft borito wrap which tastes fowl and yes, I always taste it when new just to check before I give to babyface. It was designed for chewing not eating. Babyface chews, spits out, and repeats maybe once every 2 - 3 weeks for half an hour while we snuggle up in bed watching something on the iPlayer
Little Miss Tyke xxxx
Decluttering day ahead:Been up since 4am pottering about doing the usual HH bin clearing, cleaning, and kitchen surface homemade lemon spray & clean. babyface is now up benn out for the loo and had breakfast already. Now snuggled up in her thick warm fleece waiting for me to get dressed and take her for a walk. I'm hoping for a free(ish) day with no appointments as the Dr's surgery is closed this afternoon for training. What training that may be is beyond me as there's never a single patient in the surgery whatever day or time I pop in or go - Say no more!It looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day again today after the nights frost, so will probably potter about in the garden for a while once I've take babyface out. Other than that, I'll go with the flow and see what I can do decluttering wise with the level of energy I have. I'm so very tempted to go back to bed now I've had a reduction in pain but I'm trying to break that cycle because I don't want it to become habitualTime to finish my coffee and get my backside into gear.

Good morning.
Florenceem,- im sorry to hear MrF is back in hospital but im glad you are there for him to make sure he's looked after.
London_1 sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. It's good to see you back.
I seem to have had a busy few days but haven't actually done anything. Dniece was at MILs yesterday so DH took over 3 bin bags of clothes and I sent 4 glasses, a kids unopened game (pie face) and some knives to see if they wanted them (its only a tiny shop). She didn't take the knives but MIL kept them. I decided the Jigsaws were jusg per KG. As much as id like to add them as more, it didn't take long to sort and bag up.
This afternoon someone is supposed to be collecting a pile of gcse revision guides. So that'll be more things gone. The car should be being fixed today too.
Right better go wake DS2 for school. Have a good day.

Morning all, been a very busy few days in Jellybaby land. DS2 has bought a new car and will get it on Friday. Mum’s taxi is currently taking him to work at 5.30am 😳 minus 2 and hard frost everywhere when I went out this morning. He owes me big time!A charity bag came through the door on Monday so that started me off on going through a couple of jumper drawers, which led to all the other drawers and I’m now on one double wardrobe with the triple one to go 🙈 Very therapeutic getting rid of old work stuff though haha.
I’m going to grab another coffee and some breakfast and read back - there is a lot to catch up on 😁 but hope you are all well.17 -
Good morning 🌅
So nice to wake up to sunlight.
I’ve been busy but not much decluttering, a few boxes recycled and some loo roll inners chopped up into the compost bin. I metal garden feeder and a bit of broken garage door out for the scrap man and a sold book.Had a day in Chester on Monday and didn’t buy any clothing but did get a paper light shade for 82p from strostrene grene. They have the cutest sustainable home wears.Hope everyone has a calm day xxDecluttering Challenge 2025/1483

Nice to see you @London_1. Sorry to hear about your friend, but glad to hear you are recovering, albeit slowly. We’ve missed you. Going to declutter more paint onto a sideboard we’ve modified. Hoping to finish today. Going to declutter more items to holiday chalet this weekend. Got to start seeing the “wood for the trees” soon!! Have a good day everyone.14

@Yoshimi2025 - I have never heard of that shop and just looked it up. Such lovely things! I shall no doubt have a browse later 😊
@London_1 - you have told us such great stories about your adventures with your friend. I am very sorry for your loss and hope those good memories will be the ones that last. My mother had dementia and it was a difficult and sad journey for us all. I hope you feel better soon.@Brambling - Poppy looks very beautiful and sounds as though she was full of character. I can understand how you miss her; some of our pets just have that extra special something that means they will always be missed and talked about.@Florenceem - well done for your assertiveness on behalf of Mr F. You are doing the hospital a favour as the sooner the right treatment is given the better from their point of view too.@Jellybaby - that’s a very early start for you! I had to take mine to work until they could drive, thankfully not that early though.@Brie - that was great work in the greenhouse 👏
@vulpix - I had to laugh about the muscari/chives 🤣 My DH cannot tell the difference between flat leaf parsley and buttercup leaves. They would have to be flowering for him to stand a chance - obviously I go out there with the scissors myself now!
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - don’t forget to take advantage of the wonderful TLC carriages 😊 Fresh scones in there this morning!
@Liverpool_Anne - well done on getting the kitchen sorted and 🤞the batch cooker can keep it that way. I always think that I would like to be his niece though 😂I am pottering more than decluttering, brewing another cold, doing rather a lot of cooking and entertaining of family. The garden is far too much but I love it. Despite the cold the weeds and brambles are growing apace and I am already removing flowering dandelions. It would be nice to have some gentle warmth to work in though. Gradually doing some spring cleaning as eco friendly as I can, using Nancy B’s recipes. Take care of yourselves all and try and find a bit of Me Time xx16 -
Morning all. Carpet fitted and inspected by Sox. Now off to tip - will go back to my old village as I need to check on hair appointment and I know I can drop plastics off at co-op and get some bits of food.
353 Carpet laid - a very tight fit as measurement one way was exact. Thankfully wall was square. Money decluttered to fitter.
354 Bedside lamps assembled from the Swedish shop. It seemed very complicated but I succeeded. Packing recycled.
355 Sir Sox had his first vaccination - 3/4 weeks for the second one. Money decluttered.
356 Loads of emails deleted but more frogs to do.
Will count the rubbish once it has actually gone. If grass is dry enough I will get mower out. I have started emptying kitchen cupboards again as they start in there on 14 April. There are quite a few things I have not needed in three months I have been here so some things can go. I have a price for building work and getting all surfaces ready for decorating. Will also need to pay for moving boiler and some electrics. This is the last of the big jobs except perhaps the bathroom although part of the building work for kitchen gets rid of the useless corner and cupboard in the bathroom. No sign of fencer yet. Once bed arrives Monday I can post before and after pictures for bedroom 1. I am also hoping to get someone in to do bedroom doors this week.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Not getting much done decluttering wise. Lots listed for sale or free, but nothing so far.
Decided to make use of my craft items though so that's a bit tidier.
Created this.
Sorry about everyone who is having a tough time. Some of the stories about hospital treatment are awful.
Hope everyone is okay. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
