@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Ah love the boldness of the PO woman. Oh I love cheesy pasta. Can't wait to see the finished project! I agree with that, definately would not use feet cream on my face. Checked the forecast and it looks dry so fingers crossed.@CRANKY40 - I've still got a sore back from digging in the garden earlier in the week. Well done on the decluttering, that is loads!Debt Free - 4th June 202516

Back again 😉 The motorcycle trousers are now out on the whirligig & the trousers I left out overnight are completely dry. I have made myself another drink & because I needed a short rest from cheerleading I took the opportunity to hunt out some yarn & needles for the baby bottle cosies 😉 I also went through my embroidery threads & equipment - transferring contents from this
to this
DH has just got back 16:40 so I have made him a coffee & am now settling down to do some more cheerleading 😉
Lovely post vulpix ☺️ Great work sorting out your holiday clothes from the wardrobe 👏 & good luck with the drawers 🍀 Any chance you could repurpose some of the evening wear for daytime wear 🧐 Hope you had a lovely visit with your friend today 😊 Remembering how curious aka nosy I am 🤭 are you going to be ‘ladies that lunch’ 😅
Liverpool_Anne, an excellent day of decluttering & getting tasks done 👏 Lovely cheerleading & I especially liked This “ I had a great friend who was mad about St. Helen's and she used to make me laugh when I talked football, "wrong shaped balls" was a favourite saying of hers 😂.” I almost choked on my coffee 🤣
Dizzycap, re keeping up with the thread, I agree with Floss (I jumped ahead) “Dizzycap not everyone wants or manages to keep up……… I find it interesting what folk have been up to, but I don't have a lot of decluttering to do so my contributions are minimal………….” Pleased to hear that you have a fairly quiet Wednesday planned 😊 I had a thought about This “I'm hoping for a free(ish) day with no appointments as the Dr's surgery is closed this afternoon for training. What training that may be is beyond me as there's never a single patient in the surgery whatever day or time I pop in or go - Say no more!” Perhaps the staff are being trained to use the phone & be proactive in getting everyone on their patient list to come in 🤨
Excellent decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Re This “I seem to have had a busy few days but haven't actually done anything” - I don’t believe this for one second 😉 More likely is that as soon as you completed a task, you immediately forgot about it 😊 after all it was done & no longer cluttering up your thoughts 😊
Jellybaby, DS2 definitely owes you big time 😅 Hopefully he will take you out in his new car & treat you to lunch 🤞 Meanwhile please accept some flowers 💐 Excellent decluttering 👏 I haven’t had a charity bag through the door for at least a couple of years, which of course will probably mean that having mentioned it I will now get dozens 🤣
Great decluttering Yoshimi2025 👏 Hope you enjoyed your day in Chester 😊 & well done on being so MSE - just 82p spent 🤩 Had a quick look at the Søstrene Grene website - so interesting. Now bookmarked & will spend some time looking at the knitting projects 😉 you never know there might be a pattern for a baby bottle cosy 😅
Duchess2, well done on upcycling the sideboard 👏 Re This “Got to start seeing the “wood for the trees” soon!!” this will definitely happen & probably all of a sudden 😊
Lovely chatty, cheerleading post Moorviews 😊 I had forgotten about the TLC Carriage 😥 but did manage to pop in & nab a couple of fresh scones 😋 Absolutely nothing wrong with pottering ☺️ as quite often you find that you get quite a lot more work done than when you are concentrating on just one thing 👏 Sorry to hear that you are “brewing another cold” 😞 How lovely to be spending time entertaining family 🥹 Good luck with the spring cleaning 🍀
GrannyKate, I do hope Sox approved of the new carpet 😉 Good luck decluttering the kitchen cupboards 🍀 Are you sure you have only been in your new home for 3 months 😉 as you have done so much work already 🤩 Exciting times ahead with the kitchen renovations ☺️ Really looking forward to seeing the before & after photos of the bedroom 🙂
Willowtree222, People are probably making the most of the sunshine which is possibly why your listings are not seeing any activity yet 🤔 The wreath is beautiful 😍
Another page completed, so time to turn my attention to sorting out dinner 😉 See you later 👋

@Florenceem I hope the hospital are now taking suitable care of Mr F and I hope you are looking after yourself aswell. I know how mentally draining it can be.
@_Dolly_Rocker_ you did make me smile. I know it could have been serious but everytime I see your signature I think of ur fire attempts and melted croc toe. I am glad you have not continued in that dept!General decluttering
123) another item sold on V. Really pleased as my target for selling is 25 this year and I know major surgery at some point is going to take me out of the equation.
124) I have been carefully going through DDad's stuff and found an item that relates back to another relative from years ago. I rang said relative to let them know that I had it and did they want it returned or disposed of. Disposed of was the answer. I have absolutely no idea how it came to be in DDad's possession.
Neutral items
They are taking over the house😱🙈but by October they will all be gone to good causes and the house will look bare but they go to projects close to my heart so it’s worth it.
i wish I could claim the 300 mark star @Mrs Salad Dodger but due to muppetry on my part I completely forgot to drop off over 40 items to one cause and then wondered why I had arrived at my final destination early! However another box of items has gone off taking the total of neutral items to good causes to
215+33= 248.When I do drop off the other items I will easily sail past the 300 mark and am currently putting together a box of items for summer fundraising.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another day spent cardmaking. Feeling quite smug as I haven't bought anything and have made another 30 cards using my card stock and trimmings along with old Christmas cards that other people have donated. I still seem to bin a lot of trimmings though. I have so many single cards and envelopes
Last night I paired about 20 up ready to use. I am having another go tonight. Also DH hoovered the stairs and all of downstairs whilst I was creating! He delivered 14 birthday cards to neighbour that I had made using her old cards. Lots here bagged up ready to sell at community club. Some tatty envelopes and bits and bobs binned. A productive day. Oh and I nearly forgot loads of cardboard from the flat pack laundry box, new walking boots and shoes for DH put out for recycling tonight which has cleared a big space in my under stairs cupboard. So altogether I will count as 1 bin bag.

London_1 - so good to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your friend.
Weeds decluttered from the front garden - they had been annoying me and came up easily as the ground is damp.
I took a bag of fabric recycling to SA.
I was at friendship/lunch club this morning. Busy as usual and I delivered a dinner & pud after meals were served.
I brought my dinner home to eat.
Went to the hospital - Mr F had been moved into an area that he has been in before.
Mr F now has a catheter and a drip up.
Nurse had fed Mr F his breakfast and dinner as he is currently unable to do it himself. I stayed later and fed him a sandwich. He is confused and fidgety.
I needed milk so popped to As.. on the way home and got flowers as it was our singing group leader's Birthday.
Went to singing group at SA - we finished with tea and chocolate cake.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Moorviews @Mrs_Salad_Dodger It is a lovely shop, everything is so reasonably priced and the craft projects in the website are lovely, the wool is excellent from there and so cheap too. XDecluttering Challenge 2025/1483

Yoshimi you have reminded me we have had that shop opened in the town recently, I must wander down to it next time I'm in town and have a look around, without buying too much!
i went back to paperwork I had gone through last year and shredded a lot more, not sure why last year i decided to keep it! I filled a black bin liner 🙂 and more non-personal stuff was added to the recycling bin with a lurking cardboard box.
whilst sorting I finally found some batteries i brought a month ago and misplaced at least I was able to change the TV remote control batteries without buying more as it has been telling me they need changing the last couple of days.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin17 -
Florenceem, I hope you got somewhere with the GP the other day.
Mrs SD, my friend and I don't lunch. She has Crohn's disease and finds it best to eat at home. She is having a hard time atm. I typed a txt for her to send as she was too worked up to do it. Landlord issues.
I am intrigued about the bottle cosies. Who does the lady want you to make them for? I sewed up another baby jumper tonight and started another one! I need to get on and sew up the Izzy dolls.
We are so busy. We are going to view a house tomorrow 10 miles away at 10:30 ! Then I need to have bloods done and then I am having my facial and eyebrows treatment. Friday 2 viewings on our house and knitting gang, Saturday 3 viewings. Don't know what to expect with the beauty treatments but it's an hour and a half. I will be a changed woman after!
4 tops and a pair of trousers in the car to be dropped off at the charity shop. I have been given a standard lamp and a rug. They have gone to my Mum's house for now. I will pass them on if I can't use them.
Hope you have avoided the very bad weather I have been reading about Wee Nancy.

Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & a tin of plum tomatoes 😋 I have emptied the fridge of leftovers which have all been bagged, labelled & put in the freezer. Relieving the pressure on DH to make soup 😉 I now have space in the fridge but none in the freezer 😂 Wudupa

_Dolly_Rocker_ hopefully you won’t have to wait another 6 weeks for a new appointment at the tattoo parlour 🤞 Walking an extra 5 dogs 😥 definitely not quiet & relaxing 😉 Lovely cheerleading 😊
Lovely cheerleading daisy_1571 😊 Thank goodness you avoided an accident 😰 Please, please get checked out by a doctor 🙏
Well said Floss 😊
_Dolly_Rocker_, lovely compliment for our Declutterati family ☺️
CRANKY40, sorry to hear about the pulled muscle 😣 Reading This “The strange thing is that when my front hurts the "with me all the time" sciatica in my back and legs stops - I know that my front is almost better when my back starts hurting again” reminded me just how amazing our bodies are ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 even though you were supposedly taking it easy 😉 Lovely cheerleading & I especially like the story about your sister 😊
_Dolly_Rocker_ I think the word is ‘chutzpah’ 😅 I was so taken aback or should that be surprised that I even found myself agreeing to embroider the baby’s name on the TWO baby bottle cosies she requested - 2 different sizes 🤣
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 You might not have reached the 300 mark yet but it won’t be too long 😉 Also good work with the selling on V 👏 I am hoping you are saving any funds raised for a treat after your ‘major surgery’ 🥹
Soontobeoap you definitely should be feeling proud of yourself - another 30 cards made 👏 You are definitely on a roll 🥳 & at the rate you are going you will soon run out of card making supplies 😉 I love that whilst you are being creative your DH did the hoovering 😅 I think you should continue being creative & perhaps your DH will clean the windows & maybe even do the laundry 😂
Florenceem, you have had a very busy day ☺️ Although relieved to hear that MrF is now on a drip & has a catheter, I am very sorry to hear that he is still confused & fidgety 😔
Yoshimi2025, it appears there is a shop on Tottenham Court Road - I can see myself spending a fortune 😥
Excellent work with the shredding & recycling of paperwork Brambling 👏 I fully understand This “i went back to paperwork I had gone through last year and shredded a lot more, not sure why last year i decided to keep it!” as I tend to do exactly the same 🤔
Apologies vulpix 😔 Sorry to hear about your friend’s troubles with the landlord 😔 Hopefully whatever the issue, it can be sorted out amicably & with no undue stress to your friend 🙏 The baby bottle cosies are a gift for her daughter who recently gave birth to a little girl who has been ill in hospital & only just been allowed home. Just realised that is probably why I was loathe to say no 🥹 A busy few days ahead but hopefully you will like the house you are going to view & one of the 5 viewings on your house will get you another offer🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏 I hope you thoroughly enjoy your beauty treatments ☺️
Will you look at that, I have caught up 🥳 I now need to menu plan & then write a shopping list as Thursday is ‘shopping day’ 😉 Sleep tight everyone 😴

Good morning. What a day yesterday turned out to be!
DD3F missed the bus to school, entirely my fault as id forgot to top bus card up. Woke DH to see if the car would start to take her, as its worked all week since the mechanic came to look at it. Nothing, wouldn't start at all. Had to ring a taxi and convince a crying teen that they would be fine and id track them all the way to school.
Then mechanic rang and said he'd been for the part and it hadn't arrived. Didn't know when it would be here. I mentioned it had worked all week until we had needed it.
Then DH pulled out the kitchen plug and said it felt funny, kept suctioning back down, then the screw snapped and the underneath pipe fell off and flooded the floor with water. With no car we can't get a new plug so having to remember not to use the big sink. Screw decluttered to bin.
At 10.30 I was stood in the kitchen and suddenly remembered with everything I hadn't packed DS2 lunch. He's in a SEN unit at college so rang them and explained, said he has money in his bag, could someone make sure he had dinner. He needs to be taken for food. He got home and had had nothing to eat or drink all day. They had told him to check his money and get some food, he hadn't done either.
Later the mechanic rang back and asked if we had tried it again as the part still hadn't arrived. Said we were going to later as DH needed to take DD to dance so he said he was around the corner and would come see if he could get it started. He couldn't but now thinks its not the starter motor at all and needs a specialist garage. Decluttered £30 for his time. Luckily my brother works at said specialist garage so I've messaged him to ring me when he gets a chance. At least we didn't declutter the starter motor and £300 that we probably didn't need to (especially as this looks like a more expensive job).
If you got that far, in between all that I tidied some of our bedroom that seems to have become a dumping ground and DH chopped down the huge bush outside the conservatory as we couldn't do it last year as birds had nested. He set his sciatica off and didn't go to work as was struggling to walk!
So today im hoping for a much quieter, less busy day.
