Perhaps I should get my eyes tested in the New Year   

Middle son has been decluttered back to his home in Bristol (went for Uni and stayed ).  The last of the turkey is being turned into soup as I type this.  It's done us well - 5 main meals and the soup which should make 6 portions.  Used up most of the double cream by making some fudge, it's just setting so can't eat it yet, but licked the spoon and it was yummy!!

Tonight is just me and DH and the telly.  We're having the nibbles from the freezer and some fizzy plonk.

That’s me for 2025.
its been an interesting and, at times, challenging year. 

The best things include being able to easily walk around my bed since decluttering the bedroom, or needing something from the airing cupboard and being able to see it clearly. And the kitchen. So much better than how 2025 began and I am so grateful to @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for the encouragement and cheerleading. This group is full of lovely, helpful, sharing people - you’re all amazing.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m 
3. Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Back again! The wind has changed direction so 1°C feels like -3°C 🥶 DH went out for a walk before dinner & is very proud of himself (as am I) as he has completed 2 million steps this year 🥳 I am awarding him a Gold Star ⭐️ in recognition of this achievement 😊 Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & chopped tomatoes. Wudupa

Foofoopuppy, great work using up food & drinks stocks 👏 Hopefully this means that you have saved some money on groceries 🤞Your wardrobe might be over full at the moment but at least it means that you have plenty of choice 🙂 More to the point you can always use clothing items to pack breakable items when you eventually move house 💡 As you are in Maintenance Mode I would say you have had a pretty successful year 👏

Happy New Year everyone.
Thank you Mrs SD and everyone here for all the support, motivation and so much more through the year.
Thank you Mrs SD for my gold star.

Ended the year with a few friends round and used my granny's dinner service that I've only ever used a few plates from including a big tureen. 

And has reinforced the need for redistribution as I moved piles of paperwork and other stuff from the dining room, bags and coats from the hall and as have one friend staying moving things from the spare room so have a number of rooms of doom to tackle in 2026.
Have cluttered bottles of fizz and wine and a fridge bursting with food as I over catered and friend brought food and drink.

Looking forward to what I hope is a very happy 2026 for everyone. X

Another year of decluttering done - whatever happened to 2025 😱 each year seems to fly by quicker than the last 😧 The EDT moved so fast that many of us struggled to keep up 😉 although I would like to apologise for not keeping up the EDT analogy as well as I should have ☹️ but at least several of our Declutterati family kept the TLC Carriage stocked with goodies ☺️
