Reviewing this last year there have been successes and non successes.
We are steadily continuing with using up food and drink stocks, including this year I finally decided I was in the mood to drink cider so have drunk a bunch of those. This will continue in earnest as I want to be moving as little food and drink as possible.
Using up candles is going steady, I burnt all of them earlier this year but then bought a bunch more when YC had a 50% off sale.
Clothes were a non success this year. I have been trying to upgrade my wardrobe, and now have far too many clothes. I am on a complete ban for the next year, as there is absolutely nothing I need.
Toiletries were also a non success. I already had a good stash at the start of the year, and had planned to run my stash down. Instead I added to it 🤦♀️ so other than shampoo, I am on a complete ban for toiletries as well.
But although I had some non successes, I would still class myself as in maintenance, and not needing to get rid of much. Some things have been upgraded, but I'll probably put a kibosh on that until we've moved - no point getting something that works for this house if we're moving.
Weight was also a non success, so I'm going to try changing things up and seeing if I can lose some weight! It's not a lot I have to lose, but i would like to lose it. So no snacks from the TLC carriage!8 -

Hi all, not much decluttered unfortunately, yesterday I was still feeling quite rough and didn't even get dressed, I spent a lot of time sleeping 😁. I did do a session of ironing, emptied the lr bin twice after a sweep of the room and twisting OH's arm to have a bit of a sort out of the heaps and the kitchen recycling was emptied.
Today we went to a birthday tea for the 1 year old. We only stayed for an hour as we were both still not good but wanted to say happy birthday to the little one 😁. 4 presents and 2 cards delivered. I also had to go to the post office to post a sympathy card for my Dsis' next door neighbour, hubby had passed away just before Christmas. I got to know them when I was dog sitting last year.
Also finished a note book into the recycling.
We are now back home and I am heading for a lie down as the paracetamol have worn off and I 'm feeling rough. OH has just decluttered the very last of the christmas left overs 😁.
Yet another cardboard box recycled
I might get a bit more ironing done later but not making any promises 😂
@regnbue definitely a dog 😂. Have they got tails? A pompom tail would help with identification 😂.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Hi again, forgot to add 2 lasagne and a large portion of leek and potato soup taken from the freezer for friend we saw at the birthday tea . They should have been delivered before now but we kept forgetting to take them 😂. So now 1769/2025. Don't think there is any chance of making the target by midnight tomorrow 😂😂😂11

Not getting rid of much in my last few days of year and some bits came in today. I did eat one of the meals (Chilli and rice) from my freezer stash. I still had some money (cash) from the sale of my wardrobe and bought two cushions, a dressingtable tray and some cat food. I also topped up my 1p saver for 2026 so almost ticked off 31 amounts so that covers January. DS2 came up to collect a leg of lamb (from the pre Christmas joints stash) - he will do a roast dinner on New Years Day. I don't do much on New Years Eve but may need to collect children if they get too tired out. My father died 44 years ago tomorrow - like so many of us I have lost several family members in December including my dad and two brothers.
Children here tomorrow daytime so doubt I'll do much. I may take them swimming. I have been doing my Christmas jigsaw - cats and books.
1242 Metal dish binned as I can't get it clean and I have plenty.
1243 New cat fountain ordered - stainless steel with a more of a tap to drink water. Sox won't use the other one and it keeps going green. He mostly stands on the sink for me to turn tap on to drink out of. He also drinks water in shower tray after its been used, pond water, bird bath water and any water lying in garden. He has been quite affectionate since I came back the other day but never sits on my lap.
Christmas tree is dropping a lot so I will probably take it down after New Year. Take care everyone.2025 Decluttering Campaign 1249/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅🏅) 🌟🌟🌟💐

So today's decluttering involved the last of the black forest roulade and the remaining squirty cream
. Used up the last bit of pastry from the Christmas pie and made cheese straws, DD has eaten a few already so they'll be gone in a day or two!
Nothing else has gone. I think I'm holding on to things until the New Year then it will look like I'm doing a fantastic job,

I had a bit of a paperback purge and took 2 bags to the local charity bookshop today. I also sorted my Christmas stuff, and donated a bag of bits & pieces, along with a fleecy coat that makes me look like a large sheep!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
