@BlueJ94 rocket will germinate in January. It’s a slower grower in cold weather but fresh peppery rocket from the garden is a treat in January and you can ‘cut and come again’.

Someone I know is trying to do that at the moment and it does seem hard.retiredinfrance said:Good evening declutterati chums from chilly France.I’ve been following along but let posting fall by the wayside. In my defence I’ve been supporting two friends who decide to move back to the UK.Oh dear, it was hard going for them , very difficult frequently as they tried to sell their house and find something affordable in the UK, dealing with both French and English bureaucracy at the same time. My heart and compliments go out to those of you who have got through it.4 -
Gosh already it's the end of the year.
I have been naughty. Went into 2 charity shops to actually buy items rather than donate - the first time in six years - both times saw a bunny related item which I just had to have.
Also bought a very cute bunny hot water bottle somewhere else. I've been looking for one for ages including actually buying a new one from fleabay but the more I look at it the more I think it is a dog with very long ears. It was new with its tag but no mention of what animal it was supposed to be but listed as a rabbit.
That wouldn't be so bad except, having given up on finding a good bunny one, I bought a polar bear one instead last month.
Lots of "ins" in December. I need to really rein this in now.
On a brighter note I used up another nail polish meaning 10 decluttered in total for 2025. When I first joined the thread in 2023 I had 45 of them so very pleased with slow-but-steady progress as I've had no impulse to buy any additional ones.
I also decluttered a single red bauble to a friend. I didn't think the cs would appreciate just one. He has a 2ft artificial xmas tree but nothing on it. His argument is "it's pre-lit" but not only is it never switched on but he hasn't pulled any of the branches down/out so it just looks like a big fir tree branch that's fallen off the back of a lorry. At least now it has one adornment.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger a massive THANK YOU for all your hard work, as always, keeping us all updated, encouraged and on track to just keep going and not lose heart with the decluttering. You're AMAZING!!
Two bunnies or not two bunnies. That is the question...

Dunno why the brown one is so dog-like cos I've never seen a dog that looks like that 😆 I tried to work out if embroidered or felt buck teeth stitched on would make it more bunny but I dont think it would. Its the eyes I think. It also has a look of a teddy about it I think 🐻 🧸 😆
Are you keeping them all?

In reply to daisy_1571 Are you keeping them all?
Yes I'm keeping all of them. I normally have 2 bottles on the go at the same time anyway.
Neither of them has a scut which would have been the real giveaway.
I've named the newer white one Jessica because I've been binge watching Murder She Wrote lately

51/52 - old bedsheet to the bin.
52/52 - lots of cleaning pre visitors and rubbish thrown out. But will mark this final 2025 entry with a worn out travel bag to the bin.
Here's to a happy 2026. 🙂2 -
Good afternoon. Time for the total "out" count of 2025 before trundling off to join for 2026. The stuff that left this house - 3095 things!
I think that some of that figure at least was due to me bringing items home after sorting out the house of my friend that died. I had a lot of things from there that were too good to be skipped so they came home with me instead. I also rehomed a fair bit of yarn that was given to me (don't worry, I've kept plenty 😊) and one of my best "outs" was being able to supply a little girl with a few pairs of child size plastic knitting needles from my friend's stuff because she wanted to knit more things. Some yarn was also provided from my stash.
As far as I can tell there is still more to go. My sister has taken the things that she wanted so I can start gathering charity shop stuff together again. best go and join up for another year.....
