Morning all. I have an extra school run this morning and a delivery due from 8.15. I can get back here for 8.25 so guess I'll just leave a note on the door to put in garage if they come in those 10 minutes. Reading along with posts.
357 Bundle of cardboard boxes to recycling
358-361 Four large bags of random rubbish to tip - wallpaper, carpet offcuts etc
362 Bag of plastics to SM
363 Bundle of clothes in recycling
364 Banking done
Staying in to do more frogs and tidying up today. Delivery of wardrobes and plumber coming to fit new radiator in bedroom 1 and disconnect two others. I was bad and purchased a history book from an author following a history talk the other day. Better get dressed now.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hi all, went to the cake decorating early yesterday. My friend E and I were the only 2 people who were there.
. We chatted for a bit and then did some "modelling " with roll out icing. This is what we made. I have no idea what I will do with it
Next week we are doing cup cakesand I have to take a dozen cup cakes and 750g of buttercream
. We were there 3 hours, good job it's free
. After E and I went to a local garden centre for a coffee and a chat and on my way home I popped into the sm for fat balls for the garden birds and finally made it home at 4.30. The only decluttering I did was empty the lr bin.
I have a couple of phone calls to make today and the washing machine is on so something should be done today.
Sorry I am on my phone and I am struggling a bit to read the posts so I will just say hugs to anybody who wants one.
347 lr bin
Take care everyone

347/2015Put it on a cake of course! Or alternatively send it to me as DD loves all things ducks, birds, chickensA busy work week this week and not much happening this end. I am nearly through using up a number of things, but nothing much else going at the moment, but then nothing coming it either.Ages ago I set myself a target to tidy up X things per day to slowly get the place tidier (I put easy things away, but if it's too much work to do I have a tendency to leave it out - it's easier when there is less). I obviously do put things away all the time, but needed an extra target everyday to get things more tidy. I reduced the number from 50 to 40 and this month to 30, but it's actually far too high still. My house is relatively tidy (a bit more needs to be done), but it's no longer a tip if I ignore it for the week. I think this is what maintenance decluttering should look like! I will reduce to 25 next month and hoping by the end of the year I won't need it anymore as it will be automatically sustained.Anyway, enough waffling as I need to get back to work.Digital:

@vulpix - the rest of the country is getting wild weather (droughts and wildfires in area that have never had them before) but we are having great weather. I just wish I could get outside in it more. Temperatures are 24C today, expected to go up to 28C or 29C by the first part of next week. Plants are definitely confused. Spring may come back late next week, but it feels warm here. I can't say it feels like Summer because it doesn't. Northern part of the country still getting snow and tornadoes across the South. We did have a rare tornado (maybe 10 in past twenty years) about 30 miles from here in the last storm, but no rain is in the forecast for the next several weeks.17

Liverpool_Anne - lovely duck. I am rubbish at that sort of thing.
I had a lie in after a busy day yesterday.
I went to visit Mr F. If anything I thought he was worse. However, a nurse said that he was seen by a Doctor and is medically fit to be discharged. Then while I was there a HCA did his obvs and he had to be put on oxygen as his saturation was low.
His temperature was higher than usual for him - HCA - said - the room is hot!
Mr F's pulse was a lot quicker than his normal rate - all pointing to an infection.
I know Mr F better than anyone. He was fidgety and unable to sit up straight. He hadn't eaten much dinner and didn't touch his pudding. Mr F was talking rubbish - about a shoe box.
I said to the nurse that I will refuse to accept him home if I consider him to still be unwell.
Nurse said OT will see him and discuss the home environment - we have all the aids in place.
If Mr F goes home before the infection is cleared - he will fall and be back at the hospital - sitting on a chair in the waiting room again.
Mr F is not on IV antibiotics - I told the nurse that oral will not do the job - he went to speak to a Doctor but he didn't come to see me.
Mr F has no keys with him so it will be a standoff again - about him coming home.
I will be at SA from 11 am tomorrow for a big funeral - which is at 2 - I told Mr F that I may not be in to visit.

Wardrobe delivery just before 12 so almost at the end of the time window they had quoted. After a bit of muttering they put all of it in the bedroom on some sheets I had laid out. Plumber here most of the morning putting in new radiator and taking two others out. I've kept those two radiators but plumber advises replacement if I can. Put them in garage as the other one disappeared from outside within a couple of hours. Plumber tested system but had to drain it again as a valve was leaking and had to be replaced. I collected DGCs and gave them tea as DS2 came up to start putting wardrobes together. Sox was excited and generally got in his way exploring the new things and cardboard.
365 Change of address card written and posted
366 Telephoned to give health update for travel insurance but thankfully no extra to pay
367 Filing done
368 Radiator fitted and old valves etc decluttered
369 Some cardboard from delivery fitted into bin for collection tomorrow but most piled up outside back door.
Need to waste some time in town tomorrow whilst car is in garage.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Goodness Charlies tribe, it doesn't rain but it pours. I do hope life is much calmer for you from now on.
Willow tree, what a lovely wreath. When I fixed mine the other day I put it under the living room rug to flatten it, forgot all about it. Came home yesterday to see it hung up. My lovely cleaner had found it!
Hope you are feeling less sore today Daisy after your near miss,xx
Liverpool Anne, what a happy little chappy you have made, I love him.
Glad to hear you are ok WeeNancy. Our weather is also most unseasonal but not as extreme as yours. As we came home over the tops tonight there was a huge fire raging on the distant moors. Not unusual in the summer but it hasn't rained here for weeks.
Florenceem. You know from hard won experience what would work for Mr F. x
Iv'e almost had a Charlies tribe kinda day. A weeks worth of stuff in one day. I am absolutely cream crackered. Went out at 10 this morning and got back at 8 tonight. It's the getting up early every day that does me. My bones take a long time to come round to my way of thinking. I cannot wait for next Wednesday when it will be the first day I don't have to get up and go somewhere. No change that to Thursday.
My friend has had a reply to her txt and is feeling much more positive, thank goodness.
We liked the house we viewed very much. I can see us living there. She is an ugly duckling but with some love she could be a swan. The lady who lives there has been there since the house was built 41 years ago.
The blood lady filled vials and vials. As they say, almost a full arm full.
Eyebrows and facial was lovely. Why have I waited until now to have my first one.
We went out for food and then some shopping to get some daffs for the house viewings.
I came home to the cutest little parcel on the doorstep. No excuse not to finish the Izzy dolls now.
To go to the chazzer tomorrow, a jumper that I wore the other day, the high neck drove me mad all day.
2 viewings and knitting gang tomorrow.

Hi all, yesterday was more productive, 4 LDFPA and the 2 phone calls I needed to do. 1 to HMRC which despite the 40 min hold time the lady I spoke to was very helpful and sorted out what I needed to be sorted. The other was to arrange for a surveyer to check the loft for my free insulation. OH is panicking about everything we have to do. For we read I will have to do. All I have asked OH to do is sort out the various piles of clothes around the house, I have said I will take any unwanted clothes to the cs, just put them in a bag. To be fair OH is suddenly overwhelmed and is struggling so I am going to do an action plan and put it on the fridge which will help us both. I went to bnq yesterday and picked up some proper dust masks ready to tackle the emptying of the loft.
Yesterday I also spoke to ln about an old sewing machine she has been trying to move on. Her daughter had tried the usual places with no luck and they were reluctant to just send it to the tip. I had found a charity that takes tools etc but when I was chatting with my friend E about her trying to sort out her DH's tools I explained about the charity. Her eyes lit up when I mentioned the sewing machine and I said ln would probably be happy for her to have it. Ln said yes so I will be taking that with me next week 😁. I am very happy about the serendipity of this, 2 friends who don't know each other are made happy, gives me some faith in the universe 😁.
Today I have a list of things I need to do quite urgently, not frogs but the week has just got away from me and suddenly it's Friday 😂.
@Moorviews yes OH is great at feeding other people 😂. I think it's a family trait. OH's dmum was the same. I remember once delivering a turkey about 3 days before Christmas, A friend's dad had bred them and I had a car load to deliver and not a lot of time. Arriving at the house dmum was sewing new nets, ddad and OH were laying new lino in the kitchen with OH holding up the cooker while ddad had his head under it. Dmum was wanting me to stay and have a butty. OH was instructed to put the kettle on 😂. No, no I really can't stop, mince pies and Christmas cake were offered, no, no, I will come back tomorrow but I really can't stop now. She was only pacified when she put an apple in my hand as I went out of the front door 😂. We still laugh about that day 😂
@Willowtree222 beautiful spring wreath 😁
@Mrs SD I am looking forward to seeing the photo of the bottle cosies. I can imagine they are easier to crochet than knit but it isn't anything I have looked at 😁
@charlies_tribe days like that are sent to try us, hope you had a calmer day yesterday , hugs
@QueenJess your DD would be quite welcome to it 😂. It's too much sugar really but I will probably pass it to OH"s great nephew to be rationed out 😂 as we will be seeing them for lunch on Monday 😁. I am sure you could make one though with your skills 😁
@weenancyinAmerica glad you are avoiding the worst of the weather, nice to see you 😁
@Florenceem, big hugs and take care of yourself
@GrannyKate well done on nearly having a bedroom 😁, can't wait to see the photos
@Vulpix sounds like you are having quite a hectic time but all good with the viewings happening. I am keeping everything crossed that it all works out with the house you like 😁
Hope anyone near Heathrow isn't having too long a wait for the electricity to be back on
Right I have my list and I need to get weaving or the day will be gone again 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one
