- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Actually forgot to post this yesterday 🙊
Thursday: Another bright sunny day & the temperatures are creeping up with a forecast high of 18°C & a low of 8°C 🙂 I did write both the menu plan & the shopping list before I went to bed. DH & DSis left at 12:30 for their monthly jaunt to Battlesbridge Antiques Centre. My Which? magazine was delivered today & rather pleasingly I managed to complete the cryptic crossword in 20 minutes 🙂
I had a surprise call from DH saying that they had found a shop selling wool so he treated me to a ball of pale pink knitting yarn (for my project as the lady had asked for pink 😉) DH thinks the whole thing is absolutely hilarious 🤣 They then went to MrS & did the shopping. I spent the afternoon clearing down programmes from the planner. Put the shopping away, cooked dinner (linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce - only takes 35 minutes to make) then wudupa.

charlies_tribe, not quite sure what to say or what emoji can express what a truly horrible day you & your family were subjected to on Wednesday. However you did manage some excellent decluttering 👏 & apart from setting off his sciatica it sounds like your DH managed to vent his frustration on the huge bush by the conservatory 😉 Hopefully Thursday was a much calmer day all round & you managed to spend time in the TLC Carriage 🙏 Apologies for not sending hugs yesterday 🤗🤗🤗
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Hope you managed to deal with your frogs 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, that is so cute ☺️ now you just have to make a cake 😉 Hope you managed to get your phone calls done 🤞
Lovely post daisy_1571 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 What a great idea with the target setting for tidying 🤩 I have no doubt that by the end of the year you will be completely in “maintenance decluttering mode”
weenancy pleased to hear that you are having some reasonable weather 😊 Although sorry to hear about the rest of the country’s “wild weather” 😔 I hope you are well & that your roommates are not being their usual useless & inconsiderate selves 🤞 Cwtches coming your way 🤗
Florenceem, yet again you & MrF are being treated appallingly badly 😢 You would think that after MrF’s last hospital stay & how quickly he is back in again that the doctors would be less inclined to discharge him so fast 😞 It does make you wonder where they were trained 😠 I am so sorry that you are back to square one with the medical profession still not listening to you 😔 Sending 🤗 🤗 to you both.
GrannyKate, on the final leg of the bedroom renovations 👏 Hopefully DS2 managed to get the wardrobe put together despite Sox’s ‘interference’ sorry I meant to say ‘help’😉
Well said retiredinfrance 🥹
vulpix, a very busy & long Thursday 😥 no wonder you were cream crackered 😩 In response to This “We liked the house we viewed very much. I can see us living there. She is an ugly duckling but with some love she could be a swan. The lady who lives there has been there since the house was built 41 years ago” I am now keeping everything crossed (makes typing difficult 😅) that the stars align & you can sell your house & put in an offer for your next house project 🤞 Lovely cheerleading 😊
Sleep tight everyone 😴
I will write a separate post for Friday & remember to post it 😉

Helloooo! Strange week this week….this medical thing is a full time job!!!!! In short - the prediabetes was just a warning as my blood sugars are on 42 and 42 is the beginning of prediabetes…(42 is also the meaning of life according to Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy so remember your towel on bad days 🤣). It also appears that I have a low thyroid so I have begun treatment for that. That particular tablet has to be taken 30-60 mins before any food other medication and caffeine so alarm set at 6 tablet taken and back to sleep.
I was very breathless yesterday and had to stop on the way to the chemist - 2 young lads asked if I was ok and helped me to a shady area, bless them!
I have also decluttered compost and potted up some plants outside. Possibly did a bit too much still learning to pace myself. Rogan helped by yelling at next doors dog and Pepper helped by almost squashing a bumble bee - she stepped on some flowers I haven’t potted yet!!!!! Poor bee soon woke up - I think it was dozing in the sun.
Hubby having a rough time at work at the moment and putting in stupid hours. Will make him rest this weekend.

Hugs, commiserations and condolences to all those who need/want them. Real Life can be quite difficult some times. 💕
Progress, all be it slow, is happening. More money decluttered, but my radiators now have thermostatic valves which means, in the process the radiator in the lounge no longer leaks and can be used.
The old back boiler in the dining room has also been removed so I can now start to block off the old chimney and then decorate in there. The plumber phoned his mate who is a scrappy and the old back boiler, along with a few other bits of old scrap that I could grab, was collected within the hour of the plumber putting outside. 😁
House renovations are basically on hold as I’m in a desperate rush to get the most critical bits done in the garden. Once we get into May I think my attention will return to the house and the general repairs and renovations. 🤞
Apart from the boiler it’s been cardboard and paper leaving the house, oh and yet more money decluttered to the vet as the cats had their booster vaccinations yesterday. 😱
I’m now off for a lie down, my back and hips are not too good at the moment so require regular decompression or I seize up completely.
Love to all. Dx

I was at SA from 10.45 to 4.15 today. Lovely service for a wonderful lady.
A friend was going to the hospital to collect someone so I got a lift.
As I expected - Mr F was worse today - I couldn't wake him - staff can't rouse him so he is on a glucose drip as he has had no food.
I could tell by his obvs numbers yesterday - they would have been okay for another patient but not Mr F - they were too high. I know my husband's obvs numbers by heart.
Another patient told me that there have been a lot of Doctors around Mr F's bed today.
Mr F is now on IV antibiotics which I told them he needed. He has a canula in each arm, he is on oxygen and a heart monitor.
They are testing him for Sepsis and he is going to have a chest Xray. They are not convinced that he has Cellulitis but there is an infection somewhere in his body. They are doing more blood tests.
The nurse who was on duty yesterday was there - rather sheepish - I said - you told me yesterday that he was medically well to be discharged! I said he was confused and talking rubbish yesterday and holding onto the bed rails which is what happens when he is delirious.
My phone went and a Dr said that he was ringing from the hospital to update me on my husband's condition - I said - I am in the hospital with hubby. Doctor came straight to see me - very nice chap - he had been reading Mr F's notes and asked me questions.
So I left Mr F asleep - or in a form of unconsiousness - all wired up and laying with his head to one side - drooling.

Hugs yet again, @Florenceem, it really beggars belief the way MrF is being treated, or not being treated…….
Still at least action is being taken…….and a doctor did come to talk to you.I hope tomorrow is a better day foy you both. When Mr Rif was in hospital with sepsis he was basically unconscious for the first week and has no memory of that week.14 -
Sending you and MrF hugs and love and prayers, @Florenceem . I hope they identify the root of his infection quickly and sort out the right drugs to help him fight it. Please take good care of yourself too and make sure you get proper rest xx13

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I hope the naughty step (completely unnecessary! 😀) was comfy, with good plump cushions and a selection of goodies 🍰🍫🍷☕️ from the TLC carriage!
@Florenceem I’m so sorry, and very shocked, that you and Mr F are going through the mill yet again.
Such lovely pictures of beloved pets ❤️ 🐶🐾🐈⬛🐾🐕🐾
At last my hip and sciatica have eased, but I’m still finding the amount I have to do is overwhelming. A few things have been done. I ventured into the smallest bedroom and removed the bag to go to the CS. I also found two very dead batteries in a chipped tumbler, which also contains some tiny glass animals and some odds and ends. Tidied some bits of ribbon (haberdashery) into a little box. Found some very nice unused tumblers and wine glasses I’d forgotten about, was going to take them downstairs but realised there’s nowhere to put them at present until others have been removed.Decluttered:- various sums of money for bills
- dead batteries for recycling
- an egg box (?intended for Christmas baubles but not used) into recycling
- cardboard 4-cup carrier from lockdown takeaway hot drinks (Justin had saved it but never used it) recycled
- two cardboard boxes into recycling
- dead pot plant disposed of
- three sad sticks of celery from the bottom of the fridge into tonight’s dinner
- online frogs dealt with
- took the bag into the CS when I went into town
In proof of the saying that “no good deed goes unpunished” when I got back from the CS I found that someone had scraped the whole of one side of my car. 🤨😢😡“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi all, quite a good day today, worked my way through my list and got a couple of other things done as well. Blood test booked, blood form collected from the Drs, meds collected, sorted and put where they live, OH's meds collected. I took a phone call from the loft people who needed all sorts of information so despite the lady saying it would only take 5 mins it actually lasted half an hour. There may be a problem as they might have to remove the insulation I currently have, can't put more on top of it and that might put the cost above what they will get for the grant. I have explained this to everyone I have spoken to but the surveyer is coming next Thursday and then we shall see.
I am going to the footy tomorrow but it is a charity legends game so I had to download my ticket onto my phone. Yes lots of sweary swearing and walking away from the laptop, 2 online chat conversations with customer service and finally sorted it 😁. I had had to follow a link from an email on my phone and it took ages to find the right email, they do tend to bombard you with them, so I decided to sort some of them out, 500 deleted 😁. Some I had kept from last time I checked them but today I was in a nouty mood with them and just deleted them 😂.
1 pair of Sunday knickers into the rag bag and the kitchen recycling emptied.
A pile of OH's clothes appeared at the top of the stairs. Is this washing? No for the cs 😁. I bagged them up before there was a change of mind. I now have 3 bags waiting in the hall to be dropped off but it will have to wait until Monday. I thought we were going out for lunch on Monday but it turns out it's Sunday 😂. I will count them when they go as there may be more by then 😁.
I have started the action plan and hopefully it will be finished tomorrow 😁
@Mrs SD well done on the cryptic crossword, I am hopeless with those 😁
@Muddy_Walker oh yes I always have my towel 😂😂. OH had low thyroid and that tablet is a right pain to fit in, hope it helps, hugs. Love the photo 😁 I spotted a bumble bee on my cherry blossom but it wouldn't sit still long enough for me to take a photo 😁.
@dND yay to the radiator being fixed and the back boiler gone 😁
@Florenceem, words fail me, no wonder the nurse looked shamefaced, big hugs
@Blue_Doggy glad you're feeling a bit better but take it easy until you are properly better, hugs
Right off to bed now
Hugs to everyone who would like one
354 blood test booked
355 blood from collected
