- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday is a bright sunny day with a forecast high of 10°C & low of 2°C I have woken up with a bit of a headache - own fault for going to bed late & not hydrating properly 😬 I will have a couple of drinks before getting dressed & hopefully the headache will depart without having to resort to medication 🤞

Straight into cheerleading:
Lovely cheerleading Dizzycap 😊 Pleased to hear that the garden fork was not needed 😮💨 Very brave of you to make repairs to the giant swan’s nest 🤩 Please accept some flowers 💐 Another very busy day especially as you had back to back doctors appointments & managed to fit in a visit to Gorda (albeit a short one) 👏 Excellent work with the decluttering of parcels - a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊 Sounds like you might need to visit Sainsbury’s again to top up your supply of boxes 😉 I do hope you managed a good night’s sleep with no need to visit the swan’s nest 🤞
Brambling, This “I found it could take longer to de-gloss a fatcat than it could to paint the door frame 🙄 my last cat was a nightmare around wet paint it was just as well she was cute as she was so naughty” was rather amusing 😄Excellent work with the contents of the ottoman 👏 I find shredding so therapeutic especially when there is a lot of it 😉 Nice of His Lordship to help out 🙊
Liverpool_Anne fingers crossed that the loft insulation gets done & that you can get the loft boarded as well 🤞 Good luck with the decluttering 🍀 Now you just need OH to recover from his fainting spell & pitch in 🙏
Another page caught up 🥳 Broke off here to make my 2nd cuppa & take in a parcel for next door.
florianatwobob, what a lovely & useful item to find 😊
Lovely post Dizzycap 😍 I am so enjoying the tales of babyface antics 😊 I can almost see her rolling around on the newly mown lawn 😅 Fingers crossed that your appointments are both on time & go well 🤞
Great cheerleading Moorviews 👏 My ‘oomph’ is still sunning itself in Barbuda but phones in most days 😉
Got distracted - DH has gone out for a walk, I have put a load in the wm & have tea towels soaking + window cleaners have turned so just had a 10 minute chat. It might be sunny but it is also chilly so I am warming up before heading out to the P.O. I will post this & finish up when I get back 🤞Sending lots of cwtches to anyone who wants or needs them 🤗🤗

MrsF hope MrF is diagnosed properly and looked after - I would have been putting in a major complaint by now.
Decluttering:
129 bathroom bin
130 HH bin
I have been repotting some indoor plants…..the roots were making a bid for freedom. Just as well as one long stem had greenfly 😳
Managed to walk Rogan - he chuntered away looking at the birds and smelling All the Things, quite happy until a small dog ran up to him screeching. Chaos and I let the small dog owner know mine is NOT friendly - he hates other dogs. I’m convinced he then swore his head off all the way home!
Pepper got herself stuck in one of the bedrooms and is now glued to me. 2 hours mindfulness thing this evening so I’ll be shattered after!
Dizzy I hope this is ok to say and that you won’t take offence but rawhide is not a good treat for dogs - it can knot up in the stomach and is dyed and glued to make those colourful treats. Obviously you are a very careful owner and I expect you keeep a keen eye on Babyface when she is munching away!Love to all

vulpix - did they find out why Mil had infection after infection?
Today was my first experience of a pauper's funeral. No family there but SA - his Church family were there. We went out to - Only Fools and Horses music - his favourite TV show - went in to AC/DC - old biker.
My friends took me to the crem and then to the hospital.
Mr F was in the same place and worse today - trembling and muttering. I looked at his leg - shiny with tight skin.
I told a nurse that I wanted to speak to a Dr - she said - she would try. When a Dr came to see another patient - I collared him! He went to find out if Mr F was under A & E or medical - he is under medical. I played the daughter hospital consultant card - a medical Dr soon arrived to see me. I said to him - you are treating my husband for a UTI - they had also done a head scan in case there was damage from the fall. I pulled back the bed covers and pointed out Mr F's leg. The Dr examined it and agreed - Cellulitis - I told the Dr - I want him to have IV antibiotics as oral won't do the job. Dr asked me what I did before I retired? I just know Mr F's legs.
I will be at SA for friendship/lunch club tomorrow morning then go to the hospital.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Well done, @Florenceem, and quite right to be assertive - no more nice little lady! However, I hope the hospital can be a bit more active. As you and I know , legs need prompt care so that ulcers don’t start as they take ages to clear up. Hugs for you both and anyone who needs one.18

Well done @Florenceem on collaring the doctor. Nothing wrong with playing the card, especially when it will get MrF the treatment he needs. Let’s hope this is the start of his recovery. It makes you wonder the fate of those people in hospital with no-one to fight their corner. Get some well-earned rest this evening and maybe a little chocolate.🍫 Take care17

well done Florenceem on sticking to your guns no ones know their husband better than his wife no matter how many letters after their name
I have been poorly for a couple of weeks thare is a nasty bug thats been going around and I caught it just slower to recover the old you get
I sadly lost my dear friend from Dartford that I had know for 55 years a few weeks ago. (we did the Thelma and Louise tour of the USA back in 2007 and had such a brilliant time)
Its best to remember the good, and forget the sad or bad times she sadly passed away with dementia which took her in the space of 8 months
A lovely funny lady who never let life get her down Luckily she remarried and her second husband was an absolute diamond bless him.
This weekend I am travelling to Kent with my DD to see my DGD and 2 Gt Granddaughters, as its the eldest Erins 7th birthday weekend.Where has the time flown to I wonder
So I've been missing in action for awhile but I know I will be taking some stuff up to my eldest DDs in Kent for her that I have decluttered from here so I guess it will now clutter her house up instead of mine
Hope everyone is well and things are ticking along OK
Onwards and upwards chums

Hey ho all. I hope evryone has had a lovely decluttering day xxxxThe sun has been shining for most of ths day and the garden is popping with Spring flowers and blossom all overSpring & Autumn are my favourite months@ Brambling - I had to laugh at your adorablby naughty cat. I love an animal that really knows it's own mind and is determined to be naughty when eyes aren't watchingIt';s been the usual crazy manic decluttering day including 2 loads of washing done and out on the line with appointments being rescheduled but ending up being back to back which was much better xxx 3 appointments decluttered at the opticians late morning showing that my eyesight has greatly improved since last year and the back of my eyes and corneas are in fabulous condition which is unusal for a diabetic of my slightly *cough* midlife age but a very welcomed & heartwarming piece of positive news. I can't believe that my glasses have been sent off to have weaker lenses put in
Nice!
Talking of age, a dear friend was telling me yesterday that she visits her 97 year old mum a couple of times a week in case she needs any help. The last time she visited, her mum said to her, "I don't need help! Help is for old people"- Bless her
Mind over matter xxxx
Babyface went for a lovely hound off harness farm field and woods run & hunt this morning. Not that she ever really hunts anything but she does love a good scent and off she goes in excited persuit of something long gone! She did chase off 3 cats, but when I say chase, she gave chase for about 20 seconds and then just stopped & stood with one front foot up in satisfaction while the cats ran off - Little Tyke!We got back and I decided to give babyface a bath as she has been asking for one for the past couple of days. Usual purring like a cat and kisses while I shampoo and clean her, then comes all the ear, foot, & bottom creams, nose and ears sun protection spray and finallly eye drops before she's let loose to go nuts through the house and around the garden
2 early afternoon Dr's appointments decluttered before back home and in PJ's ready for some cluttering up bed rest for a couple of hours and then back up, decluttering HH jobs, a hot shower, 2 decluttered meals, feeding foxes & checking up on the swans, and now enjoying decluttering a lovely mug of coffee. It got dark very early here this evening, so I was able to do all the night checking & feeding early. The swans are all nice and settled through the night now, excpet the Cob is on the river very early @ around 3-3.30am and is becoming a little agressive, so I will spend some time with him down by the river tomorrow morning to calm him down a little with some talking to, which he actually loves, and some of his favourite homemade seeded food mixThis house is more like Animal Farm but it's the most peaceful house you could ever imagine, other than when babyface thunders down the hallway in the morning or does an in-house fruit-loops crazy happy session
As for the Mega Wardrobe of Doom, not much has happened in that department over the past couple of days, except I've put all the Mr. Sains remaining recycled free packaging together and think I might just have enough to finish off decluttering sold items out of the house, so that's positiveI have scheduled some eby auctions but I need a break from the ongoing marathon for at least week for sanities sake
It's so nice not to have the hallway cluttered up at night with parcels ready to go in the morning!
Tomorrow I'm free from appointments, unless it changes, so will be washing towels, doing light dusting, slinging the hoover around and washing the kitchen and bathroom floors after a total spray & wash through, if I have enough energy. It might take me all day with babyface walks, play & rest breaks, but at least I know I'll be on top of things as best as I can be.Wishing everyone a very peaceful and relaxing evening - ta-ta for now xxxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 16/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1234.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing16 -
@Florenceem - I had a feeling it was cellulitis. So glad you pushed to get him seen. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon.@London_1 - I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your friend.@Dizzycap - If I tried any of that pampering with my 2 they would eat me!Debt Free - 4th June 202515
