Sorry to hear @Florenceem.
Sending hugs.
Hope it's sorted soon and Mr f is on the mend.
The thread seems to have gotten away from me again.
I've managed to declutter several plastic containers.
Also managed to have the grass cut and decluttered into one of the composters.
It cost me to pay someone to do the grass, not mse I know, but it's done for a few weeks.
I will need to rake the moss out of the grass, put moss into the spare, empty composter, plus finely chop the fine twiggy branches and also put them into the composter.
It probably won't be done until April when I'm on half term break, when I should hopefully have the extra time to spend decluttering studying for the exams and weather permitting also in the garden.Decluttering campaign 2023

Soontobeoap I hope so too but won't hold my breath.
I took a while to go off to sleep last night after all the commotion.
This morning I was at SA for 4 and a half hours counting.
I had a meal then went to the hospital - I hadn't heard from them. I don't phone as it is a hassle at the switchboard and they are so busy.
The buses weren't going up to the hospital so I had to get off early and walk. I found Mr F in a tiny room - 6 beds - he was in an armchair with his feet on a stool. I was told by a patient's visitor that Mr F sat on a chair in the waiting room all night after being brought in by ambulance.
The waiting room was packed when I walked through.
I didn't see a Doctor or a senior nurse. A hca told me that OT were coming to assess Mr F before he went home. He is on antibiotics for a uti - I don't know if this is proved by a test or a guess.
Mr F had refused a hot meal at noon as he thought he was going home. He was given a sandwich and a cup of tea while I was there.
Hca then found Mr F a bed and got him into a gown and into bed - bed was pushed up against the wall where the armchair had been. OT hadn't turned up so I left with Mr F's dirty clothes - he had still been in his soiled underwear.
Mr F's speech seemed slurred and slow. Hca said - it said - undiagnosed dementia on Mr F's notes.
I had to remind Mr F about falling being the reason he was at the hospital.
When the nurse took Mr F to the bathroom - he was dreadful on his legs - I really don't know how I will manage at home - I can see him falling again.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Florenceem, I really feel for you and Mr F . I know they are understaffed and under pressure at the hospital but I think Mr F has been treated appallingly - and with no dignity. Is it possible to put it in writing about the falls so that someone /doctor is more aware of the situation.. I remember when Mr Rif was in hospital and the sepsis was in full swing he just said he was fine!
Can you talk to your GP about the situation? I hope tomorrow goes better than today. Xx18 -
So sorry to hear about Mr F @Florenceem - you just seem to go round in circles. @Muddy_Walker - I am also pre diabetic - I signed up for a course that you attend monthly. The only place on offer is 14 miles away - I'll see how it goes but I had expected something more local. @_Dolly_Rocker_ I am not too good at decorating as late DH did it all but I have so many expensive things to do that I want to save money on things I should be able to do myself. DS2 has been helping with awkward bits but new plaster soaked up so much paint even with primer. Bedroom 1 is decorated now with just a few bits to touch up. Carpet comes Wednesday, radiator to be replaced Thursday and wardrobes delivered the same day. Bed next Monday. Sox (the cat) wants to assist and keeps sticking his nose in paint pots etc. I had just painted the inside of the window area when he jumped up on the sill and parked his backside against the wet paint. The room has a very large window and he is in there now staring into the darkness outside - thankfully the paint is dry. I will post before and after pictures.
Mr Sox goes to vet tomorrow and hopefully we will get his vaccinations started tomorrow.
349 Prediabetic course booked
350 Bedroom walls all painted (3 coats of paint - ceiling took 4 coats)
351 Woodwork all painted
352 Paint brush binned as it fell apart in the middle of the painting2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Muddy_Walker _ I am expecting to be told that tomorrow. I have a telephone call booked with my GP - I hope she will let me talk about Mr F - she is also his Doctor.
Re sugar - my daughter gave me 2 boxes of chocolates yesterday. She gets lots of boxes of chocolates given to her by patients.
There is a funeral tomorrow so I may go to the hospital on the way back from the crematorium.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Pennypincin - It is fast moving in here isn't it. You still got some decluttering done though so well done you.@Florenceem - I am sorry to hear Mr F is not improving. I don't have any experience of what you're going through but I hope you can get some support put in place for when Mr F is home. It is shocking that they left him in his soiled underwear and in a chair all night. I get that they are understaffed but I don't know how they could leave him like that.@GrannyKate - Wow you have been very busy! Love how Mr Sox is trying to be helpful.Debt Free - 4th June 202520

Great decluttering going on folks!@ vulpix - Love those little dogs Dizzycap. I got my Great Niece one on behalf of my Mum. More for my entertainment than hers! I know there's a dual purpose and I'm certain I'll get the most out of it!@ _Dolly_Rocker_ - Nice going with decluttering the fence and shed
£180 been priced up wrong for about 2 hours work, if that?!
@ Brie - great decluttering the mini greenhouse. Perhaps the other might shift when the weather gets warmer. It's certainly been feezing cold here for the past 2 daysSnow is anticipated towards the end of March and it's so cold, there's little to potter about with in the garden for me to do that I haven't already done when we had the sunny spell week, except clean the birdbaths, drinking trays & fill up the feeders. I must say, I'm really enjoying the mix of Spring flowers this year. I added more bulbs that were given to me last year which will blossom at different time sthrough Spring ready for the early Summer plants to take off. I can't believe that my large pink lillies at the bottom of the garden are in full flower but I'm relieved that I straw mulched them in early December to protect the roots against such sharp morning frosts and early moring snow flurries at the moment
@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Great catching upI'm always getting lost and miss posts but I'm trying a different method
I'm still bound to miss some@ Muddy_Walker - I hope you've cheered up a little & nice going with the declutteringRogan is trying to find a tiny bit of carrot under the fridge
- Little Tyke! I've got one of those sniffers too!
Sorry if I've missed anyones postsDecluttering Today:After a nighmare night of having to craw on my front and put straw and thin thermal sheeting in the swans nest at 2am this morning, don't ask, but all is very well today and the eggs are all now very warm and should all hatchI finally got to bed after defrosting and dealing with expected chronic pain at 4.30am
Up again at 6am with the usual HH bin & kitchen clean up while the kettle was boiling, 6.30am babyface walk & big daxie breakfast with 2 large mugs of coffee for me later, I finally managed to get into the shower
Stripped the bed, washing machine loaded and on, bed aired and clean fresh bedding put on along with clean babyface blankets, the full daxie works
Got ready to leave for my early Dr's appointment when text came through that the appointment had been rescheduled for the afternoon making 2 back to back surgery appointments, lovely & far more logical!
Decluttered parcels off to postie but within 30 minutes of him leaving I had another 2 decluttering sales (I'd forgotten holiday modeWhich is now on
), so packed and dropped of at RM locker while taking babyface for another walk, which she loves because I make a big thing of her being a helper!
The things I do!
I managed to visit Gorgeous Gorda for about 15 minutes as time was unfortunately, very tightHer new warm coat fits her perfectly and she looks a million dollars in it and she knows it!
The box of Bonios went down a treat with her demanding not 1 but 2 and the she went into silly girl mode on her back kicking her legs up and squeeling with happiness
I did manage 5 minutes of tummy rubs and raspberry tummy kisses which sent her fruit-loops
before I had to leave. I will be visiting again this week as her new safety harness and another batch of thik warm fleeces will be arriving - not that she's spoilt, she just has everything she needs
But the greatest thing she needs & craves is all the love she receives and gives in return
Her new owner is absolutely perfect for her needs and has spent hours encouraging Gorda to be herself and to not have any fear in doing so. She's a totally different dog which is one of the most heartwarming things to see. I always well up and have a few tears of joy everytime I see her because she is now beginning to live the life she so very much deserves after her very hard and difficult past
Decluttered 2 afternoon appointments and came straight back and straight into PJ's, coffee & cuddle snuggles sleep with babyface in bed. I went out like a light for 4 hours until babyface woke me up to go and prepare foxes food & put out for them while she pottered around outside for her usual toiletsWe've both decluttered our homemade dinner with babyface now chewing on an xtra large size soft raw hide chew. If it's not a challenge, it has absolutely no interest to a daxie in the least! As it's now all nice and quiet on the swan and fox front, I'm decluttering my last coffee before I head back to bed to hopefully clutter up on some sleep before the onslaught of tomorrows hectic events. I've just remembered to clutter up the mega wardrobe with the last of Mr.Sainsburys recycled packaging which is stored in the shed, so I'm off to do that nowWishing everyone a very peaceful and restful nightNighty, night & toodle pip for now

I hope you get a better sleep tonight Florenceem
Grannykate I found it could take longer to de-gloss a fatcat than it could to paint the door frame 🙄 my last cat was a nightmare around wet paint it was just as well she was cute as she was so naughty.
I managed to clear half my ottoman so far and I think about half of what is left can be rehomed somewhere. I tackled some paperwork whilst watching TV tonight anyone else have several years worth insurance policy documents 🤷🏼♀️ I needed to empty the shredder twice 🙂 and have a pile with no personal data for the recycling bin. I also had some help as His Lordship wandered downstairs to play in the piles of paperwork when I was in the bathroom, that darn cat knew I wasn't in the position to stop him!Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin19 -
Hi all, quick update as I am falling asleep 😁. Yesterday was spent mainly watching the football, we lost but hey ho there is always another season 😁. I did manage 1 LDFPA on the line, a session of ironing and the bathroom bin. Today we drove for over an hour to meet friends for lunch, had a really nice time. We are going on holiday with them in June, back to the same place we went last year in Derbyshire as we liked it so much 😁. We have sorted out all the meals between us so I can start planning the shopping etc 😁. The birthday present was delivered wrapped in a large piece of paper from my stash 😁. I put 2 loads of washing on the line before we went and they were dry when we got home so 2 LDFPA and the kitchen bin emptied. We had just settled down with a cuppa when there was a knock on the door. It was a man from an energy company wanting to tell me about the free new boilers etc. Don't need that but can you give me some loft insulation? Well yes they can 😁. I have had several of these over the years but either I didn't qualify or the last time they wouldn't do it unless I got internal wall insulation as well. I know it's mse but I don't want my rooms made smaller. Anyhow they had a quick look around, and we set the process going, they took photos of the loft and we will see where we get to in a few days 😁. OH nearly fainted when I said if it's going to happen you will have to clear all your clothes off the banister on the landing as I will need to empty the loft onto the landing. I had already said on Friday I need all your clothes in the back room moving so I can empty under the stairs and half the kitchen into there. As I said OH has so many clothes I could open a shop 😂. If it happens I will get the loft properly boarded out as I will lose sight of the joists so it will need it otherwise I will probably end up coming through the ceiling 😂. On the up side I think I know someone who would do this for me so happy about that 😁. I will make a start on what I can do tomorrow. I can't really remember everything that is in the loft so there will probably be a lot to try to move on 😁.
@Florenceem, so sorry to hear you are back in this situation after Mr F seemed to be improving, big hugs.
Sorry my brain is falling asleep so hugs to anybody who would like one

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sorry I am back so late 😉 After my previous post I watched some TV then had a bath. Just as I was getting out of the bath DH took a call from the surgery to say that the pharmacist had had two cancellations so was free to see me ahead of schedule. I dried off, got dressed & was out the door in 10 mins (17:55) Walked round to the bus stop, waited 8 minutes for a bus & was checked in 5 minutes later. I had just sat down in a Completely empty waiting area & was called in. Gave MrP my BP readings for the previous week. Almost OK but the upper reading was still a little high. He renewed my prescription for 6 months & I was in the pharmacy by 18:26 (my appointment had been for 18:45) Took 2 minutes to fill the prescription & as I walked out the door I could see the bus arriving at the bus stop. Trotted the 20 yards & managed to get on the bus. I was back indoors by 18:40 & straight into the kitchen to make dinner. Beef in gravy with mash & green beans which was ready by 19:15. Wudupa.

GrannyKate, you might only have decluttered money but all in a good cause 😊 Sounds like the bedroom decorating & refurbishment will be fully completed by the weekend 🥳 Hope you were successful in dealing with Monday’s frogs 🤞
Soontobeoap, what a wonderful way to spend the weekend - using up craft supplies & reducing your stash ☺️ Excellent work 👏 Loved seeing your creations on ‘Bust My Stash’ thread 😊
Lovely to see you ionafan 👋 Fingers crossed that the seeds germinate in the border between your shared drive 🤞
Lovely post Dizzycap 😊 Thank you for all the really interesting information about daxies 👏 A wonderful way to spend a Sunday 😊 Just love that babyface is such a fan of the outdoor launderette & keeps taking you there on your walks 😂 Those toys are almost as cute as babyface & Gorda, but Only Almost ☺️ Hope you saw off whoever/whatever was causing Mr Swan to be agitated 🙏
Nice to see you Duchess2 👋 Good luck with your decluttering this week 🍀
Lovely post _Dolly_Rocker_ 😊 Hopefully the people did turn up to declutter your fence & shed 🤞
vulpix, great work in the garden - 10 minutes a day should make a great difference 😊 Perhaps now that MrV is doing so well with the decluttering he could help out in the garden 😉 or would that be a step too far 🤣 Good luck with the house viewing 🍀
Wednesday2000, that talk sounds very interesting 🤔 so I have made a note of the name & will investigate further 😊 Fingers crossed the wardrobe decluttering went well 🤞
Brie, yippee to the mini greenhouse being decluttered 🥳
_Dolly_Rocker_ , it’s a good job you kept all the relevant photos for the work quoted on your phone 😊 Sounds like you got a bargain 🥳
Excellent decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏 How annoying both about the non-call & the pre-diabetes 😠 I haven’t quite caught up but will cheekily accept 🍫🐾 😍 - thank you 👏
Great decluttering Pennypincin 👏 You might not think paying someone to cut the grass is MSE but from my perspective you used the time saved doing other things 😊
Florenceem, I haven’t quite caught no words to describe how appallingly badly MrF has been treated 😶 You are both in my thoughts & prayers together with a fervent wish that Tuesday will be a better day for both you & MrF 🤗
Such an empathetic post retiredinfrance 🥹
Great work completing the decorating GrannyKate 👏
Florenceem, so sorry to hear that you are attending yet another funeral 😔Hopefully the doctor will be able to talk to you about MrF 🙏
Not quite caught up although I am very close but I am nodding off & finding it difficult to concentrate ☹️ Sleep tight 😴
