Thank you @Dizzycap it was a huge relief. DSis’s consultant is of the quietly confident variety that inspires trust and hope. After treatment had finished he said to DSis to ‘forget about this cancer business, as it’s finished for you, now get on with life’ and this time told her after reviewing her scans ‘just what I expected to see, nothing’. @Wednesday2000 - I've not read a thing at all this year and have 2 bookcases FULL! On Monday I am digging out the Wicked books and I'm going to start on those. I'm sure the CS would come collect it or put it on FB for free, someone will come for it. Well done on keeping up with the walking and enjoy your St Patricks Day celebrations.@MuddyWalker - It has been very cold this weekend. I also need to have a think about remortgaging, think I can switch from October which we all know will be here before we know it. Hope you're feeling better.@Yoshimi2025 - Oh I'm also a sucker for a sale! Get them listed later and make a profit, you won't feel daft then. Also silly question but when you do the recycling with Boots do you need to take in proof that you bought the stuff in boots? Not sure I can even do that in my local one but might be worth it if they do.@Brie - Wow very organised. I would keep the boxes, putting seeds in them is a good idea. Hard work but SO worth it.@Florenceem - It's such a lot for you having to help Mr F to and from appointments especially if you're having to push him in a wheelchair. Could the hospital arrange some transport for him if he's now too unsteady on his feet? Busy with all your repairs! Hope you enjoyed your biccies.@Dizzycap - 9 eggs! WOW. You're gonna be busy with all these signets and fox cubs. I can't wait for some pictures. Read a horrible story this morning about a fox getting tangled in a football net, poor wee soul. Excellent that all the Ebay sales are finished, for now!@florianatwobob - So many bins! Wonderful news about DSis!@MrsSaladDodger - Thank you for my medal.Debt Free - 4th June 202517

There are some wonderful consultants who seem to know exactly what they're doing and why they're doing the things they are in a certain way and time to get the best results. I'm thrilled for you both and now it's time to live again with hope and peace xxx
Best news I've had all week and I'm still smiling@ _Dolly_Rocker_- Wishing you well with your listings & I hope all your items get snapped up pronto,so you can list some more and get the decluttering sales training running on full steam aheadI actually went back to bed after my last post and slept like a log until now - Ooops. Enjoying a large mug of coffee & babyface has finally got up whipped out quickly to the loo and came in demanding breakfast which she didn't realise I'd put out while making coffee when I got up. I told her it's out and off she trotted to the kitchenOff to potter about and do some house shopping in the house with Daxie in towIt's been found and polished off ready for play time

I charged my kindle last night so I am determined to start reading next week. I had books on there I forgot I bought!
I am off out to lunch today and then to the theatre tonight. I am going to declutter my wardrobe again as I lost about 5 lbs since last month and some things already feel too big on me. My trousers have started falling down when I walk, lol. It looks like a nice, sunny day here so I hope it is the same in London. I have just decluttered the last of a cucumber facepack on my face and a big mug of mint tea.

Mrs SD, Thank you for Mr V’s and DSS’s medals. Mr V has seen the light about keeping un needed stuff but I don’t think he will keep the spaces tidy, It keeps him out of mischief to perpetually tidy his sheds. He is currently tinkering in the studio. Not only did it snow a bit on my birthday but we had hail and bright sunshine too.
The potential house buyer owns the flat he is in now. He just seems a very risk averse kinda guy. I on the other hand thrive on risk.
My bin monitor/ knitter neighbour is making another corner to corner blanket, she has certainly got the knitting bug. I might have to undo the Izzy doll cat. I am knitting a baby jumper with the same wool and might not have enough. I will post a photo when they are all finished. I will have to undo a bit of Paddington as I am making him up and I think his hat brim needs to be a little wider . Google Izzy dolls, a very poignant story behind them.Very little done in the garden because it was so cold. I wouldn’t usually clear up this soon because the plants need old foliage as a blanket, but it looks better for house viewers. What I did do is watch 3 rugby games and knit.
Floriana, fabulous news. Very positive words from the consultant.xx
Wednesday, nice to de clutter because clothes are too big. I have been stuck for a week but I suppose it has been my birthday. Don't think I will reach my goal of losing a stone before we go on holiday in 2 weeks.
I will have 10 minutes sweeping up outside then hunker down with the grey and white jumper. No cooking today as I made Mr V a cauldron of corned beef hash yesterday. Pleasingly he has used up a couple of sauces with it from the fridge. I am easily pleased.
Take care everyone Vx:17 -
Hi all sorry I haven't posted but I seem to have spent the past few days taking a lot of time but not doing much decluttering 😂😂. The weather has been mostly sunny but cold but I have managed 2 LDFPA on the line. It took 2 trips to deliver the baby blanket as I tried the first day to drop it where the dad works only to hear he was on paternity leave as the baby had come a week early so took it to their house the next day along with a few other bits which they were very happy with 😁. the bedroom bin, kitchen bin, kitchen recycling and lr bin x 2 were emptied. I cleared and cleaned out the fridge again. OH had asked for fruit to make a fruit salad and promptly left it in the fridge too long so I salvaged what I could and we have a small fruit salad that will last a couple of days. I also discovered I have used the last of my veg stew from the freezer so put some mixed beans to soak overnight and dug out some previously frozen Veg and a few bits of fresh that was lurking and made a big batch so I have 10 portions now in the freezer 😁. It is one of my favourite meals when OH wants something with meat or is out for tea 😁.
I got a letter from HMRC that will require a phone call but I just couldn't face it on Friday so that will be done on Tuesday. We are meeting some friends for lunch tomorrow and will be able to deliver a birthday present which has been wrapped from stash.
I have also had some rubbish nights sleep caused by who knows what so I think I have finally caught up with sleep and my back continues to give me a reminder it is not quite right when I do some things 😐.
I will be doing a cake decorating course on Wednesday with my friend who lost her DH just before Christmas. I am looking forward to it and hoping it's not just how to decorate cup cakes 😂. I have done one of those a few years ago but my friend E has been looking for something to do and it is only 6 weeks and free so nothing lost really 😁.
Later today I will be watching the football on tv, the match at Wembley I didn't get a ticket for 😁.
I have tried to read all the posts but not retained much but lively photos of dogs 😁.
@_Dolly_Rocker_ I love a good burn in the garden 😁. I have had various burning bins over the years and currently have a large chimnea that takes anything too big to go in the green waste bin but I am a bit of an arsonist 😂 I once had a job in the lab of a company that made fire fighting chemicals that go in fire extinguishers etc and the best bit of the job was testing them by setting fire to various things and then putting them out, loved it 😂.
@Brie great job with the greenhouse. I have 2 to tackle at OH's when I can get to them. They should have been sorted a long time ago, so much carp in them but OH wasn't ready to deal with them, lots of things OH's ddad had used, and they are totally overgrown now 😐. I am on the trail of a young lad who is trying to start up a little business as a jobbing gardener and I hope to get him in to dig up a couple of things here under supervision and if we like him OH has said he can have a go at OH's garden as basically it just needs everything chopping down 😂 so that is real progress from OH 😁
@Florenceem big hugs
@florianatwobob great news about your dsis, so pleased for you both 😁
@Wednesday2000 I read a lot on my kindle, usually when I go to bed as it means I can turn the light off so if I fall asleep it doesn't matter 😁
@Vulpix glad the sheds are tidy, long may it last 😁
@Mrs SD great cheerleading catch up 💐
In other news my kitchen is STILl clean and tidy. I think OH has finally got the message. Hope I haven't just jinxed it 😂😂😂
Right off to sort the washing 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday is a bright sunny day but with a biting wind - forecast high of 9°C & low of 0°C but at least the sun is shining ☀️ I have my first cuppa & am just settling down to some cheerleading starting with posts dated Saturday:
Dizzycap, such a tragic story 😢 Very pleased to hear that you have a quiet weekend planned in an attempt to conserve energy for what sounds like a very busy week ahead. I hope you didn’t have any more snow on Saturday after the 5.30 a.m. snowfall 🤞 Hopefully you managed to declutter the phone calls & eventually get babyface out of bed 😉
GrannyKate, hope Saturday morning’s meeting went well 🙂 Lucky DGS1 & I hope he has a lovely time with plenty of warm weather 😊 At least if all the tradespeople turn up at once, the renovations will be finished more quickly 🙏
Well done on your perseverance re disposing of the soft plastics 👏
charlies_tribe, fingers crossed you can get an appointment with your doctor on Monday 🤞Sounds like a lovely way to spend a Friday morning with your DD & DGC ☺️ When I read that the sun doesn’t hit the washing line until 10/11 because of the hedge, I thought the next comment was going to be ‘I will be wrapping up warm & getting the hedge clipper out’ 😂 Much preferred your solution of having a cuppa & waiting 😊 Great decluttering 👏
_Dolly_Rocker_ a lovely cheerleading post 😊 I think my “oomph” is still sunning itself in Barbuda after taking one look at the weather forecast & deciding that it was still way too cold to come back 😂
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏 Your ‘plodding along’ is my hive of activity 😉
CRANKY40, is DS staying for the weekend? Excellent work decluttering all the ironing on Friday 👏
Lovely post Dizzycap 😊 I do understand why you wanted to catch up with your tidying/decluttering although I am hoping that you managed to get at least some rest 🙏
vulpix, I have PM’d you. Hope you didn’t get cold when you were out in the garden 🤞
charlies_tribe 😥 to your litany of woes re fire 😧 Great work decluttering the laundry 👏 & excellent work emptying the drawer unit 👏 Good luck with the listing & I hope it is snapped up quickly 🤞1.7kg is a lot of ‘stuff’ 🤩 Let me think, how to add to your numbers 🤔 😉 Got it 💡 how about each 50g is 1 item so 1.7kg is 34 & yes, I am sure you were joking but it appealed to my nerdiness 🤣
Brie, I hope you managed to get warm before heading back outside to declutter the greenhouse 🙏
Another page caught up 😊 Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible ☺️ Please wrap up warm if venturing out as it is very cold 🥶 despite the sunshine.

_Dolly_Rocker_ that was the first time I resorted to using a wheelchair. Not had any biccies yet.
Yesterday I was sitting at my computer and turned round to see Mr F stripped to the waist - when I asked what he was doing - he said - he needed to take his clothes off to go in the toilet. So he sat half dressed in the cloakroom for an hour. I added up the time he spent sitting on a toilet yesterday - just under 7 hours - now that is not normal! I need some medical person to agree with me!
Last night I was so tired that I went up to bed at 9.30 leaving Mr F sitting on the downstairs toilet - I turned off the heating. I was woken up 2 hours later by Mr F sitting on the bed getting undressed - then he went in the upstairs toilet. Next time I woke up - he was in bed. I was woken up again at 4.50 by Mr F going out to the bathroom - fell asleep - woke at 7.10 to find Mr F still on the toilet - so 2 hours 20 minutes. I told him to get off and I would make a cup of tea.
I had planned to take Mr F to Church today using his rollator but it was not a good idea. I got him to get dressed and come downstairs into his chair. Then I went to Church.
My Church friend gave me some chocolate bars - I need chocolate at the moment. Another friend said I looked tired. A third friend said that I am wasting away.
My Doctor daughter is coming here this afternoon - she hasn't seen Mr F since the beginning of September.
