Managed to declutter a bag of hooves and a bone that my 2 won't eat. Gave them to a friend as her dog loves stuff like that.
Also a bag of dresses and some of my nephews clothes back to my sisters.Debt Free - 4th June 202515 -
@Florenceem fab news about the glasses, but maybe put the cord around your neck? 😂
Have sold a coat I had on Ebay, now packed & labelled ready to be dropped off tomorrow. Waste wheelie bin has been emptied, recycling one to go out ready for tomorrow.
I'm currently stripping the pages from my old work note books ready for the confidential waste bin at work - I don't think anyone needs my scribble about Covid meetings now, especially when it's all in the electronically filed logs anyway!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

My DD1's lab Ronnie had another visit to vet's today after being sick, one anti nausea jab, some antibiotics and advice - another £200 !Took DH to hospital. I searched from the car park but no wheelchairs anywhere to be seen so he had to walk about 25 mins on his crutches to get to fracture clinic
, where there was one! He had stitches out in his foot and cast removed, now in a boot so that he can put weight on it. Much easier. I treated him to a full English cooked breakfast which made him very happy!
The only decluttering I've done today was finishing a book and adding it to recycle pile.Well done to glasses finding, and ex decluttering plus hard work of all of you!TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.17 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday continued: Just remembered to put a black bin bag in the HH waste wheelie bin. DH has just gone to fill up the car & will be back shortly & we will head off. We might even leave early 😂 yes we did 13:45! Just as we were about to leave I had a chat with our ndn - apparently he had a massive heart attack just before Christmas so was in hospital well into the New Year. He is now on the road to recovery & is being looked after by his ex partner - he moved back in as they had parted on good terms. DH & I had a very good journey so stopped off at Asda to buy some flowers & then arrived just gone 15:00. We had a lovely afternoon & evening with lots of reminiscing & laughter. The fish pie was thoroughly enjoyed by both the birthday girl (82 years young) & her DH & there was enough leftover for their dinner on Thursday. DH’s sister liked it so much that she has requested the recipe 😊 One of her grandsons popped by with a birthday card just before dinner. We had profiteroles for afters. We left at 20:35 & had another good journey arriving home 21:35.

Lovely to see you back Pennypincin 👋 Well done on staying on top of the day to day housework & decluttering 👏 Hope you are well & that it was only RL keeping you busy 🙏
Nice to see you Spendywendywoo 👋 Sorry to hear that RL has been so busy but by the sounds of things you have been keeping up with the decluttering 👏 Hopefully you will find time to empty the garage 🤞 - just wondering if you have to make appointments to use the Tip 🤔 Also keeping my fingers crossed that the CS will soon be accepting donations so that you can empty the utility room 🤞Pleased to hear that DS’s training is ongoing 😊 & I look forward to being able to award him a medal in the not too distant future 😉

A very early good morning to all decutteriI'm up very early this morning and have already emptied the HH bins, sprayed and cleaned the kitchen bin and lid, kitchen surfaces, fridge freezer doors, seals, and shelves, and front and inside the washing machine before putting it on a sterilizing wash. Now time to declutter a large cup of coffee while babyface is having her breakfast before heading for a shower and probably cleaning the bathroom before I do, getting dressed, and taking babyface for her early morning walk - It's all happening but I'll be back in bed resting for a couple of hours as soon as I finish babyface's walk
Unfortunately, the dolly trolly is still totally full and waiting to be taken to the charity shop
but I will get around to it early next week

Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, no appts needed for the tip and we are only a 10 min drive away from one so very handy. I’ve found a dog charity locally that will accept donations of everything I am donating so that will be gone in the next day or two and the tip run will be done this weekend. Hoping to also do a car hoover, but the predicted storm may hamper that.On the DS front, I’ve just loaded the washing machine with the clothes from the basket… he’s managed to put all his clothes in the basket for wash (miracles do happen), this may have something to do with the fact I’ve moved the basket to outside the bathroom, which he passes on his way back to his room… though I did found his pants and jumper in there that he wore to the football the other night for all of two hours 🤦♀️😂

Oof, this week seems to have run away from me somehow but I've caught up with the posts now.
@sqwiffy a lab that we used to have had a bad stomach infection once. The vet told dad to feed it boiled rice with cod or chicken until it was better. Dad was giving the dog the side eye for weeks because fish is so expensive. We also discovered that the dog couldn't tolerate dog biscuits so he had his dinner mixed with a couple of weetabix. The trouble with labs is that they eat anything that they find though 🙄
@Spendywendywoo my ds is the laundry twin of your son. I can look at the empty wash basket, go and sit down for ten minutes and then on another walk past the basket it's full to the brim.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip out.
I've managed to do some decluttering every day. I write it down as a five bar gate when I sit down for a cuppa. So far this week I have decluttered 35 things with a five per day minimum. My mind feels like a whirlwind though. Ds is supposed to spend a year in industry as part of his degree but computer studies placements are like hens teeth. He;s going to make a phone call to uni today to see if they can help at all.
Take care all of you 😊

Morning all - did lots yesterday with DD but not much decluttering. She had to go home last night but can stay 2 nights when she is here in March. Mr Sox will be going for his first vaccinations later this morning, then I have hairdresser and GCs. I did declutter a couple of items with DD but she also brought some here including loads of jigsaws. Mostly 500 pieces so I know where they can go when finished. She took my circular one from Christmas for her DD and mil to do. DD and I went to look at kitchen plans and think we have made decisions - I have a few questions to ask but will probably go ahead in April. Silly money of course but these people are much more flexible than main chains and they did my last kitchen. So my plan is to have two larger bedrooms, kitchen/diner and some garden work done in next three months. Bedroom 2 mostly stripped now so plasterer can see the walls and decide on what needs doing once I have decorated Bedroom 1. Walls don't look anything like as bad.
DD managed to get 4 suitcases at a good price for special holiday booked at Easter for a big birthday. I bought a small chair I had seen and kept dithering about for my bedroom. There was an ex display one for half price with a few scuffs and it would fit in DD's car. Sir Sox sat in it as soon as I put cushion in place.
I need to get showered and dressed and round Sir Sox up.

Morning All,
Please to hear @Florenceem your continued search and chat located your glasses.
I have managed a private sale of my youth memories and am happy with the recycle of pennies and a sale least expected on t'bay.
I have taken great smugness in myself re Sis 1 who is a hoarder asking her if she had any 2ltr plastic bottles to spare which I am looking for to do a job with. She only had 2 x 5 ltr ones so I accepted them. I don't need and want them and they will go for recycling as soon as they leave the back of my car. So I have helped her do a small declutterI will ask my friends to see if they can help. I'll think of something else to ask her for in the future.
Small successes are still a win

Good morning declutterati . Sitting waiting for a restaurant to open for the Ladies Lynch club- I’m going to leave that typo as it made me laugh and hopefully you too will enjoy a smile! Lunch , of course!we meet once a month and have a circuit of local eateries.
i have bit the bullet on sunk cost items. One very expensive handbag is going to DD, another two are to go to a charity shop in the UK when I next visit. The UK because I think a better price can be got for them there than in my rural backwater. Also, my store of French vintage linen sheets is on the list to go to a CS here, No point in me storing them for when?I have SABLE stocks of bed linen. I have decided that this year I’m going to limit CS purchases, including books as slowly and steadily we are reducing total numbers. To this end I started in December with 100 euros in my purse for cash purchases( remember them?), and found that as 2o25 started I would allocate the remaining 65 or so to CS purchases and see how long it will last.Still a good bit left. I’m not doing accounts just noting dates when a new infusion of euros hits the purse.I will post numbers later tonight, I hope.
@Florenceem, @ Vulpix ,@Muddy_Walker, hugs for you and for everyone who would like some..x18
