Monday: a bright, crisp day with a chilly breeze, currently 4°C (feels like 1°) forecast to rise to 6° with a low of 0° I am up & dressed for indoors & have my first cuppa.
Floss, oh my goodness - words escape me 😥 Although I knew I shouldn’t have it was so funny that I laughed out loud 😂
Dizzycap, what a very busy Sunday - lots of decluttering & dog walks plus the listings 👏 & you found time to re-home a dachshund 🤩 Please, please rest today 🙏
Well done on the sales Florenceem 👏 & good luck finding a few more items to list 🍀
TC77, sorry to hear that you are feeling tired & overwhelmed 😔 Although relieved to hear that it is not a medical issue 😮💨 Steady decluttering 👏 although a bit of a pity that DD1 returned the table & chair ☹️ remember if your DB doesn’t want them you can always donate 😉 I am positive that your friend won’t care what you wear but will just be happy to be spending time with you 😊 Fingers crossed that work is not so busy & that the weather warms up a lot 🤞I read on another thread that although February is a shorter month, the cold weather is making it feel almost as long as the ‘60 day’ January we just had 😞 Wishing you a quiet week at work & time to deal with frogs 😊
florianatwobob, excellent work decluttering unwanted items & replacing with ‘desired’ items 👏 Win, win, win 🥳 - for you, for CS & for the environment 😊
I was going along quite well before my router lost its Wi-Fi connection 😡 & despite following the instructions it is still down. Apparently ‘they are aware of the problem & are trying to fix it” Went down at 12:10 & is still down with no indication of a timescale for resumption of service (13:05) The good news is that we have 2 providers 😁 not very MSE but perfect for this situation 😉 However, before switching over I took the opportunity to phone my bank - paid my CC bill, ordered a new cheque book & updated my accounts. Now have a 2nd cuppa & am settling down to cheerlead although really I should go out & pick up my new glasses 😉 Way too cold so can’t be bothered 😕
Florenceem, another excellent week of decluttering 👏 You are putting me to shame 😔
TC77, please, please remember to wear shoes or heavy duty slippers 🙏 Broken glass has a mind of its own & however carefully you vacuum there is always the chance that one or two shards remain to ‘attack you’ when you least expect it 😞
Lovely post Dizzycap 😊
Lovely cheerleading post sqwiffy 😊 Excellent & eclectic decluttering 👏 I am really quite bad with tech - always frightened of doing something wrong which is irretrievable 😰
Dizzycap, I am so impressed with This “I have yearly nesting swans at the bottom of the garden, so I have to leave the bottom 3rd leading onto the river wild for most of the year along with piles of logs and tree branches for nest building in early Spring. I've also got my hands full with foxes, geese & garden birds, especially during this very cold snap. Foxy came to the front door this evening asking for his dinner early, which I always put out in the back garden, so I tell him I'm coming, and off he goes around the back to collect food parcels I make up for him to take back to the den, and then a second large dish which he knows is all his” I especially love the underlined portion 😍 We used to have anything up to 7 foxes appearing at the front of the house - in a cul de sac. The mummy fox used to bring her cubs to visit us & quite often there would be cubs chasing each other & play fighting. Nowadays though & for no reason that I can fathom we are lucky to see a fox from one month to the next 😢 Oh well I suppose we will just have to be entertained by the squirrels & garden birds 😉
I have caught up one page 😊 I hope that everyone is having as good a day as possible & is managing to stay warm 🤞 Apparently service has been restored so will revert back to main internet.

95) a mug from New York……destroyed by one of the cats, bits everywhere. Nothing is safe from the cats!
96) while sorting out one of the cupboards I found what look like a small ceramic sieve, it was actually to separate yolks from their whites and slotted into a long destroyed mug. It ended up broken courtesy of the cats

I went to SA - no glasses there.
I phoned the charity shop - nothing found or handed in.
I have put out a notice on the local lost/found site.
I started making curtains this afternoon - navy blue velvet lined ones. I put the walking foot on my new sewing machine - it stitches so well. I have the fabric cut and the linings stitched to the velvet - next is the heading tape.
They are heavy to work with - 93 inches long.

I know I've been missing for quite a while but I have now decluttered 2 frogs. I got the all clear from the hospital and it looks like I have decluttered the ex at long last.
Now on to the decluttering - I have decluttered the kitchen and bathroom and both are looking so much better. The 2 areas I really want to sort I refuse to at the moment as i is his bedroom and the workshop aka his dumping ground as he will be back to get the bits he wants so he will have to sort everything rather than expecting me to do it for him.
Today I hoovered the living room and then the stairs. I also decluttered some of the carpet plucks on the stairs from the cats, it is weirdly very satisfying snipping off the pulled fibres.“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Foxy was little late tonight coming for his food but all dishes were full ready to rock and roll. Soon be having the cubs in the back garden. The access & exit routes are already in place and I can't wait to see and hear them screaming with excitement as they play and feed. I'll be able to watch them with all my CCTV cameras. Have to have those for safety on so many levels, especially wildlife protectionThe swans have started to show interest in the piles of logs, so a few more days and they'll start building an enormous nest. Once it's built the femail sun cheks and sits on it solidly for 2 days. She usually smashes the first nest up and moves it 2-3 cms each way and then repeats until perfect - Crazy but true!
Once she's happy the eggs will start to arrive within a few days followed by fluffy bundles 6-8 weeks later. Last year there were 9 cygnets. 8 survived with help, especially early feeding mixed with medicine, if needed. The fun comes with the foxes and the swan eggs! I've been known on several occassions in the middle of night when the CCTV alarm screeches to make my way through temporary fencing in my PJ's with wild Kate Bush hair and garden fork in hand to seperate the Doe and fox over the swan eggs - You would have thought that the sight of me alone would have frightened the daylights out of them both, wouldn't you?!
A plan was put in action last year where I left out 2 dozen donated fresh eggs for the foxes and magpies and they all lost total interest in the swans nest and there were no midnight seperation activities needed. However, an attempted stealing of the swans eggs by some juvenile cretin in the middle of the night
, was also met with me and a garden fork
along with recorded CCTV footage followed by full reporting and a hefty £15k fine for their parents - Nice!
As for today's decluttering efforts, I've made good progress and have also listed an number items for sale, so hoping to declutter them soon, although it'll be quiet with half-term week. The dolly trolly is ful of items to take to the charity shop but I ran out of energy to be able to take them. I did manage to take babyface for a half walk but she knew I didn't feel well, so she turned around to come home as soon as all her jobs were finished - Bless her!I've also had a wonderful 4 hour later afternoon to 7pm solid quality sleep session complete with snoring babyfaceShe's been exceedingly happy today, no babyface2 walk, pottering with me in the garden in the sunshine for 30 minutes, a lovely bath, sunbath, a 30 minute visit from my workman to fit something in the kitchen who she absolutely loves, a lovely homemade dinner along with kisses and cuddles and a snuggle bed with thick fleece snore sleep, what more could she want? Her bedtime baby play & biscuits which I'm about to do now while I have a large cup of coffee xxx

@Dizzycap - that sounds idylic in your garden! I have a very small city one but I did have a fox with two cubs hidden behind shrubs once as I don't like it to be too tidy, and my neighbour and us have a hedgehog hatch for them to go between our gardens. That sounds something similar to what DD1's dog had but he's on the mend. He came home and ate a little yesterday. Here's a photo of him in his Christmas outfit from a child in school as he's their well being dog. See how handsome he is!@Floss - thanks, I'll try that with 365. I was too busy today, preparing for a committee meeting, making dinner for us and my DN (invited for a break as she's worked every day since Christmas), cleaning, shopping and dealing with frogs. I got a lovely phonecall from a lady from the council apologising for the confusion of different staff sending conflicting letters and information to me. That rarely happens! Lovely doors by the way!@TJH1412 - sorry you've been poorly, glad you're on the mend.@Florenceem - Oh no, you need to find those glasses. They are not cheap!@Mrs SD - always enjoy your posts and spend a while trying to decipher the initials!@ Happy Kittie's - don't you think all these gadgets, like egg separaters are just extra unnecessary things? My hubby is always buying them!@machasraven - Wow, decluttering an ex is a hugh achievement, declutterexcellentte! Well done. My DS2 was given a property as a settlement and he'd left rooms full of rubbish like broken bathroom fittings, etc, for her to dispose of.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.24
