Fabulous knitting progress there vulpix neighbour
I've got rid of things in my craft room this afternoon but not enough to properly be countable plus a mountain of fluff, hair, fur and bits of cat food madam nudges off her various plates. Proper move-the-furniture-(not beds)-and-into-the-corners hoovering, feels nice to have clean carpets again. We don't hoover often as madam hates it so much she's sometimes sick.
I did have a sit down and properly read through my 2 books of written diary entries from 1980/1/2 and relived my 12 to 14 year old self. Some interesting things but nothing that needs kept so pages all pulled out ready to go on the fire. One was written around notes my granny had made as the book I was using as my written diary in 1982 was her daily diary from 1973 so it was nice to see her writing, 'bought electric fridge £23 plus 25p for delivery' (!), 'margarets wedding, nice day', etc etc. Plus i've taken all relevant info from 2024 diary so it too can go. Feels like I've achieved something clearer that littlestack of books and now we have paperfor the fire which we needed.

Sat and took all the items off V - had to do each individual one - took ages.
Now I have to cart it all down to the charity shops.
Really yuck weather here.
I am munching away on the chocolates that I found - they are dated 3/2024 - nothing wrong with them.
Going to wash up - make some cups of tea - then it will be an early night for me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Wow it's been a hive of decluttering activity in here today. Well done allI've had a better day today, so feeling more positive with the last remaining decluttering:-) My lovely neighbour took my 3 large black bags of charity items to the shop for me
which meant I had the energy to take baby face for a longer walk which she asked for. I had to stop and sit down a couple of times but we did it and just managed to get back before the sun went in, the temperature dropped 5 degrees, and it poured it down - She's not amuzed at the weather and has been wrapped up in her thick fleece with her back to the window all day with the exception of when I heated up her dinner - Woof gone, super fast out for toilets, and back nuggling in her fleece with just her nose sticking out!
I've managed to list some items to hopefully declutter soon, and just decluttered a batch cooked home made dinner & and am now decluttering a large cup of coffee & shortbread while reading some posts on MSE before I go back to bed again to rest some more.I hope everyone has a great evening & take care all as the wind seems to be picking up again along with pockets of heavy rainTa-ta for now xxxx

Hello to all 👋 I am so happy to have found this forum and I am determined declutter as much as I can this year! Have to really as we’ll be downsizing at some point in the summer. Very much looking forward to the fresh start but also very apprehensive about where to start and getting it all done 😬
I am maker of lists so going to start there and looking forward to seeing how everyone else progresses. Good luck all 😊21 -
Taken 2 bags to CS ( SA Florenceem ) ,they are so friendly .
Cleared and cleaned another drawer ,a kitchen one for a change
I can now supply the country with pencils ,but the prize must be paracetamol bbe 2015 ! That’s too old even for me ,cutlery etc sorted nothing for CS just rubbish to bin .
looks good now
glad Mr F is returning to you Florenceem21 -
Just for a laugh.... so I am trying to declutter my packaging by only reusing it (not recycling it). Sadly with all the things I've picked up on Buy Nothing recently I went from having 1 plastic bag to a whole bag of them! Anyway, my parents came today (don't worry, they didn't bring too much with them and I sent my mum back with 2 puzzles to do). What they did bring back was the box and bubble wrap I used up to post their Xmas present to them. I was relieved it had gone and they've brought it back to be reused. Bit frustrating they've decluttered it back to me after I decluttered it to them
Hopefully it'll end up being used for charity donations or Buy Nothing collectors eventually.
DD has actually just gone up a size in trousers and so I've got them all out of the cupboard for her. I will slowly wash and collate all the old ones and can send them to charity. I only count once they've physically left the house though to avoid a failure in things actually leaving!I'd quite like to count things in versus things out in Feb, but I think it might be too much with 2 birthdays and a new job starting. Maybe I'll do a week and extrapolate or something!2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Hellooooooooo!
Very odd past few days. I intended doing Many of the Things….and did very few.I did have my CT scan which was much quicker than the MRI and I have a phone call with my dr about my back and a calf muscle tomorrow as I’m in constant pain and paracetamol is just not touching it.
I thought - silly me - that’s the medical stuff done for 6 months just a case of waiting for results.
got a text from the dr saying he now wants blood tests and blood pressure readings…..do these people not talk to each other????? Ah well.
One of my friends is going through a very rough time. Her dad is very poorly and it started not long after her mum passed away in the summer last year. The hospital is putting him in a palliative care ward as there is nothing else they can do for him so I’ve been in constant touch with her. All I want to do is wrap her up in a massive cwtch…….and one of my other friends also has a parent in and out of hospital so been trying to support her too. It’s horrible for both of them and I so wish I could do more ! Decluttering has taken a bit of a back seat….although both dogs decided to have a play with a new ball of wool I bought. 2 mins they were alone for…….and they were soooo proud of the tangled mess they made. Smiling faces and waggy tails…..🙄☹️🤣
They were sent to bed with strong words……⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

@Dizzycap interesting that your baby face had similar symptoms to my boy, I wonder if the low air pressure affects them in their insides. I’m glad all’s well with baby face, and that you’ve had a better day, too.
A horrible wet, dark day today. Household rubbish decluttered to wheelie bin.
Three items decluttered from mending pile - 2 jumpers and a tee-shirt - and decluttered into their drawers.
Pretty picotée trim removed from worn-out pillowcase and put aside to use on a new one. The pair to that pillowcase, also worn-out, also trimmed, taken from its hiding place in the airing cupboard and added to mending pile. I hand-sewed (backstitch) the trim onto the pillowcases, and onto a sheet as well, some twenty years ago, so they’ve done well. I remember sitting at my dining table, on a sunny morning, sewing it. The trim has done even better, as I took it from another set of bedlinen about twenty years before that.
Not really a decluttering day, but a day for putting some things right.
Hugs to all who need and would like them. ❤️“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
