Hi all, not a bad day considering, collected my meds, there was a bit of a flap as they couldn't find them but they remembered I'd been in yesterday and knew the prescription had arrived so I just had a bit of a wait while they searched. It is only a small pharmacy but they deal with a lot of people, 2 Drs surgeries close by as well as mine which is further away. The prescription is a bit short but enough to last me until they get them in next week. I also ordered my b12 meds today. I sorted through the toiletries bags from our trip away before Christmas and 3 small plastic bottles were washed out and 1 into recycling. We tend to decant into small bottles when we go away rather than take big bottles of shower gel etc. The bathroom bin was emptied and I did a bit of work on my budget. January always takes some juggling 😂.
@Florenceem, yes of course you know Mr F best and I am glad you felt listened to today, big hugs
@Mrs SD very good result at the footy today so I was a happy bunny when I got home 😁.
@Moorviews, yes I allow a week, I put the request in digitally on Monday so it should have got to the pharmacy by Wednesday giving them 2 days to sort it but it just hadn't been dealt with by the Drs. In future I will be allowing 10 days but I know the Drs get a bit edgy if they think you are ordering too early so we shall see 😁. I just think it's a good job I have my wits about me and am quite assertive. My dMum would not have known how to deal with it and would have convinced herself it was her fault and just been without meds for a few days. I too remember the days you could walk out of the Drs and into the pharmacy and walk out 10 mins later with what you needed 😁. I think part of the change is that pharmacies no longer carry a lot of stock and order things in daily so need the extra time to get stuff. Part of the reason why pharmacies like to have you signed up so they have a rough idea of what they will need and I must say I think mine does a fantastic job. This has happened to me before and they have given me meds before the prescription has arrived as they know my regular order 😁.
Tomorrow we are meeting a friend for lunch, I thought it was Monday but OH has arranged it for tomorrow which will be interesting as it's Sunday and we haven't booked, we may end up having to go to the cafe on the prom 😂 so I have no idea what I will manage to get done 😁
Right off to bed as I am flagging
Hugs to everyone who would like one
138 meds collected
139 meds ordered 😂
140 toiletries bags sorted
141 bathroom bin
Take care everyone

Baby face would love that to play with as she does love a good large stuffed toy hunting challenge. I can just see it being dragged along the hall way
but I fear she would eventually rip it to bits with her locking teeth
Todays decluttering challenge:Emptied HH rubbish bins & wiped over kitchen surfaces to declutter the nasties that may be lurking. Managed to declutter a little more from behind door 4 and have a second load for the charity shop which will fill the large dolly trolly again. Not sure if I'll have enough energy to do 1 charity shop run today, let alone 2but I'm hoping that my lovely neighbour will be going to collect some more inpost clutter
and ask if I would like anything decluttering to my selected charity shop which is right next to the inpost lockers
I've managed to take pics of some more lovlies that I want to list but ran out of energy to actually list anything before the need to declutter a large cup of coffee and go back to bed for a couple of hours. Hopefully, I will list later this morning x~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 19/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1634.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing22 -
DSis sorted out a bag of bits for the CS so that left the building yesterday, along with the soft plastics for recycling.I currently need to either repurpose or rehome my office desk drawers. They were bought from necessity (due to space limitations) from the Swedish shop and are a tad flimsy. However, when I popped into town on Friday I unexpectedly came home with these for £5!
Thankfully I had an amused/bemused but understanding bus driver. The last odd thing I brought home on the bus was a coffee table.

Have just done a sweep of the fridge and got rid of anything out of date and past it's best. I hate wasting food, but they don't sell most things in smaller bits and I can't freeze fresh fruit and veg as DD only eats it fresh.
A small bag has gone in the recycling and the rabbit is happily munching on the bits he could have.
Three candle.jars will be taken to a maker to be reused today.

Big hugs to @Florenceem. I don't have any additional advice, I think everyone else has it covered, but my dad had to go into care with his Alzheimer's, and there was a lot of stress beforehand I won't go into, but I can appreciate what you might be going through.

wishus - yes it is so stressful.
I have LPA but not the health part. My SA friend has suggested that while Mr F is lucid - I should apply for the health and welfare part.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday: I was ansleep almost immediately last night & slept for 2 hrs 15m before 1st bathroom visit then 2hrs 10m but decided to have a cup of tea as I have a slight headache. Will go back to bed once finished. I was intending to cheerlead but have decided to read my book instead. Back later 👋

@Florenceem - what a productive week despite everything that is going on 👏 It’s definitely a good idea to get the health and welfare LPA done if you can. I think you may have said that you are Mr F’s only close relative? We need to do our LPAs too as none of us know when they may be necessary and everything gets very complicated without them in place.@Mrs_Salad_Dodger - 😂 at Mr SD being in fear of messing up your cupboards. What a very cute llama that is 😍well done for rescuing him. I hope you enjoy your book and can banish the headache. If you are like us, the weather is yucky and it will be an indoor day.Yesterday provided a chance to vacuum right through the house and wash all the floors. It felt good to get into all those corners and get rid of the cobwebs. Spiders are put outside, although they breed and more will rapidly reappear. I reflected on how much easier vacuuming is without the many things that I have decluttered around the place. There are lots more things still to deal with but it is nice to be able to see the difference.17

Good morning 😊
I hope your headache goes away MrsS_D
@Florenceem I'm glad that you've found someone that seems to be talking sense (at last)
I decluttered the craft room yesterday. 24 things out either to the rubbish bag or to the charity shop pile. The charity shop bags and the tip run pile are both sitting downstairs - I may ask ds to help me shift them on his day off from uni or I may take them myself if I find time. The bin saga continues here - I was lucky enough to have my recycling bin emptied last week but some roads on the estate were missed. This coming week should be back to normal which means recycling bins again 🙄The household waste is looking a bit full and it has another week and a half to wait.
Today we will be attempting to sort out the pyjama shelf in ds's wardrobe because I'm feeling brave 😁
Take care all of you 😊15
