OH took me out for some sea air and a pub lunch yesterday. Was too tired when we got back to do anything else.
Today’s meals are already cooked and waiting in the fridge for heating up. Have topped up the tea caddy and the savoury biscuit jar etc and assessed what needs using up next in the tin cupboard.
Cleared out the cupboard under the sink this morning - several items of packaging recycled, other things put back in their proper place, stocks assessed and no, we do not need anything for a while (still using up excess from OH’s house etc).Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
madammim, I forgot to say the flapjack was a big hit, Thank you.
Squiffy, I like the shape of your chair. It looks pretty solid from the photo. Unless the springs are completely shot I would just get a new seat cushion. I would go the loose cover route if you want a change of colour. It is a lot of work to strip it back to the frame, and then rebuild , but if you fancy a challenge, go for it. If you can find a course all the better as they will have special tools for you to borrow.
A picture in a frame and the panda mug for the chazzer tomorrow.
I am knitting baby jumper 2. One for Grandson and one for my friend whose daughter is being induced today.
My lovely neighbour is very keen for you all to see her knitting progress.

Moorviews - yes I am Mr F's only relative in the UK. He was an only child and has no children. There is/was an aunt in Germany but we didn't receive a Christmas card this year so think she has passed away. There are cousins in Germany but no contact.
Moorviews - yes, it is lovely to have empty space to hoover.
Been to Church - no rain here yet but windy and chilly. Turned round as I typed that - it is starting to rain.
About to have my meal - people at Church say I am looking slim - all the stress and running around. I have room in my size 12 trousers.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday: I had another 3 hrs sleep 🙂 got up & dressed & now have another cup of tea. It is darker than it was at 09:00 plus it has started raining ☹️ Apparently it is 6°C although according to the forecast it feels like -3°C - can’t say that I disagree 😉 Forgot to mention earlier that I saw neighbour G drive off at 08:00 - heading to Scotland as his Mum is back in hospital with heart issues 😢
Liverpool_Anne, pleased to hear you had a good day yesterday especially the football result 😊 A pity that you still had to wait for your meds but it sounds like the pharmacy you use is really busy. Hope the weather is kind for lunch out with your friends 🤞& that you get to eat in your preferred establishment 😉
Dizzycap, the llama was just too cute for me to let him end up at the Tip 😉 Excellent work in the kitchen & behind Door 4 of the mega wardrobe 👏 Fingers crossed that your neighbour will be able to drop off more stuff at the CS 🤞Hope you managed to get some more sleep & build up some energy 🙏 Good luck with your listings 🍀
florianatwobob, I like the office drawers but love that you somehow managed to get them home on the bus 😊 I just wish I could have seen the bus driver’s face 😂
Willowtree222, shame about the food waste but sometimes it just can’t be helped ☹️ & at least the rabbit got a bit of a treat 🙂
Florenceem, that is a huge amount of decluttering 🤩👏 You have decluttered more in a week than I do in three months. Deserves a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 😊
Excellent decluttering wishus 👏 good luck with your listings 🍀
Moorviews, headache was gone by the time I went back to bed 🙂 The weather was definitely better the first time I got up as it was just dark 😉 Now it is raining & is forecast to last until 18:00 & then resume at 20:00 ☹️ So pleased to hear that you are reaping the benefits of decluttering - easier & quicker vacuuming 👏 & more to the point you are noticing the difference 😊
Excellent decluttering in your craft room CRANKY40 👏 Each time I hear about anyone’s bin sagas I thank my lucky stars that we still have weekly collections of both recycling & household waste 👏 Good luck sorting out DS’s pyjama shelf 🍀
oceanspirit, I take it yesterday’s lunch out was a surprise 😉 Well done OH 👏 Great work tidying & sorting the cupboard under the sink 👏
vulpix, well done to your neighbour - her knitting is so neat & not a dropped stitch in sight 🥳 & I love the ‘little man’ 😍 Please congratulate her on learning so quickly 💐 Hopefully baby is now here & she & mum are both doing well 🙏
Perfect timing, I have caught up with the cheerleading & finished my tea 😉 Hope the weather is being kinder to you than me but if not please stay safe, warm & dry 🙏 P.S. with all the rain we are having I am rather pleased that I had the gutters cleaned 😉

Single deck bus Mrs SD and it was me and 3 other ladies on it so plenty of room. I was hoping it would be one of the drivers I normally see when I’m commuting who are lovely but no….brand new (to me) bus driver!! He did kindly lower the floor and pull close to the kerb for disembarkation though.Other odd things brought home via the bus over the years have included…..

Two jars given to the candle maker to recycle and also the bag of batteries that I constantly forget to take with me to recycle finally made it out of the house and recycled. Between them and the coffee pods, I spend my life cursing myself for forgetting them,so managing to do them both in a week is definitely an achievement.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

Slight hiccup here as I started an art class on Wednesday and forgot to bring the materials into work for the class in the evening - no way to come home after work and fetch them without being an hour late so I ended up buying more. They will be used up eventually but it's thrown my decluttering off a bit. I've decided to count the six tubes of paint as one thing, and also the six brushes as one but the palette knife, disposable palette book and oil colour paper book as one thing each. I've also gone through my art materials and got rid of a kitchen jug's worth of dried up paint (counting that as 2 things) and four knackered brushes (counting as one) - very rough calculations leave that as three more things to go now.
My art materials are now much tidier and like is stored with like though, so that's something.

Mrs D - I have decluttered more than you would have ....because I have oodles to shift!
So pleased that this afternoon I am not visiting Mr F - it would have been miserable walking to the bus stop in the heavy rain and waiting for a bus as there is no shelter after it was vandalised.
I am going to tackle a bag of V items next on my delisting journey.
Decluttered the last of the smoked salmon for my meal.
I brought an M & S apple turnover home from SA - will have half with custard later this afternoon.

Hello all, I haven't done much decluttering of late except day to day stuff and clearing down the TV planner. I decluttered a GP appointment though because I was called to the surgery to discuss the results of my last scan, no explanation just wait to speak to GP. That conversation left me rather fearful for the outcome. Thankfully I got off lightly with 2 more prescriptions for an illness I didn't know I had, but I am now awaiting blood tests and x-rays for something else 🙄. Seems 2025 has started where 2024 left off, absolute rubbish ! Anyway enough doom and gloom from me !!
Yesterday I made a stew with a tin of corned beef and some limp veg from the fridge then the leftovers were blitzed up this morning to make some soup which we had for lunch. This week I also found a tin of raspberries coming up to date so I added them to a raspberry jelly and it's delicious with ice cream. Waste not etc....
This afternoon I tackled the bottom of one wardrobe which looked like the aftermath of a jumble sale 😂. Shoes were sorted and paired into summer/winter/best and rehomed in a shoe storage organiser bag. A pair of my slippers and a pair of black dress shoes belonging to DH have gone in the cs bag. The shoes DH bought to wear to a wedding 13 years ago and never wore them again as they "crippled" him, but only now is he ready to let them go 🤨
I have a pair of new black leggins and a pair of heated socks ready to go to DD too.
Into the rag bag went my well worn pair of jeans (now too small anyway), 2 bras and a set of joggers which had bleach spills on them. I also separated my summer and winter pj's and put my gardening/DIY clothes in another bag.
Florenceem my heart goes out to you and I hope you get a good outcome for DH. I know how you feel having to fight for help. Take care of yourself, hugs 🧡
Hugs to anyone in need or just would like one, my hug bucket is full. Take care all.
