#59 KrsyW reporting £284.98 for October.
October ended up not being as bad as I thought it would - paid off the holiday spending from the month before, and had a few treats - Lego is very expensive! Still managed to be slightly up for the month overall, which is a pleasant surprise.
Christmas shopping starts next month, although that will be split over 3 credit card billing cycles - I tend to put all of my spending on a credit card which gets paid off in full each month.Emergency Fund: £15,000/£15,000 Mortgage Overpayment Fund: £36,000/£72,000

How the year has gone by. Been very busy, but got a promotion at work in August which should help with extra income going forward and progression. Sorry for not updating these at the time!george4064 said:#24 declaring £660 for May!
#24 reporting:
June - £175
July - £760
August - minus £600
September- minus £2,000
October - £985
Had some work done to the windows over September which took a bit of a dent, and we've got a big trip to HK and Japan booked for early 2026 which we're very excited for. Naturally, both have taken a dent in savings but thankfully all positive!
EDIT: Just remembered that I increased my salary sacrifice pension contributions and have not been counting them towards my savings, this somewhat explains the lower figures. Something to think about next year and whether I start including those pension conts, maybe I just count the conts above and beyond what I put in for the max company match..
Interested to hear how or if others count their salary sacrifice contributions into these saving challenge?
P.S. Ironically, I think this thread flies under the radar a bit more (for me at least) since it become a pinned post this year. Strange!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

It's only pennies @Dizzycap but we have your YTD as £21,877.08 not 62p - let me know where the disparity is and I will amend. Here's the link to the spreadsheet. @ Suffolk_lass- Yes, it should be £21,877.08 - Sticky fingers on the keyboard early in the morning
I'm a little overwhelmed by how well I've done this year as it's usually a struggle to save much from August onwards, but this year I had some surprise bonuses, so won't complain
