I have scratched together £450 this month to open two regular savers. One with Nationwide earning 7% paying in £200 a month and one with YBS paying 4.85% paying in £250 a month. So total now is £12450 for the year.

£450 a month will be the best I can save I think going forward until February when I get my state pension as we have just paid out for our November holiday and two new laptops.  In January we have to pay for our May holiday and we will be saving for our China trip next year too.

I did spend a few unexpected bits, but have moved out of other slush funds. Target is locked in with projected savings and interest due. Probably jinxed myself now  :D

Almost half of what I hoped but planned car repairs ended up costing considerably more than budgeted as basically more and more problems were found 🙈

Well I don't know how I've done it given how much I've had to shell out this month on annual insurance and some other stuff but I believe this puts me just over my £12k target. 🥳

Will keep going though as this thread keeps me motivated.

Thanks for running it and good luck to everyone else 💪
