Were the accounts you previously benefitted on a bonus on still open? Every claim I've seen of multiple payments have occurred when the person closed down the account they received a bonus on some time ago.
Interesting... I have 2x current accounts, one of which is a longstanding current account which I've received an incentive before. It is still open. The other I opened during the last offer and switched into, but didn't get an incentive for.
I suspect while that account you've previously had a bonus on is open you've little chance of sneaking in with another bonus; I don't know for sure but my assumption is their check looks for the "Switiching Offer" transaction on all accounts where all account names match, but seemingly it can't find it on accounts which have been closed (for some time?).
I suspect you're probably onto something here. I wasn't planning on trying again but I ended up doing a switch anyway into one of my existing Nationwide accounts. Switch completed last Fri, and I haven't even fully qualified for the rest of the offer (no £1k deposit and my debit card transaction hasn't cleared yet) and I've already had a text from them to tell me I don't qualify for the offer (as expected).1 -

Thanks for coming back. I guess we will see in time how well this theory stands up with more reports!

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Although NW has purchased VM they remain separate. It's going to take years for them to become fully integrated so for the time being I think it'll be fine. The T&C's don't specifically exclude VM either.

I've tried to take up this switch offer, but have had so many issues with it, I've given up and am no longer going ahead with the switch. They keep rejecting my switch request as its registered twice in their system ( I haven't requested it twice, its just somehow duplicated in their system and everyone is giving me a "computer says no" type reply, rather than someone looking at it with a common sense approach when I speak to them). I've finally given up trying to get them to resolve this today and cancelled the switch request, its just waaaay more hassle and headache than I need. Poor show Nationwide!!0

I can't even get to the page to start my application, add soon as I press the Apply now button I get a Something's gone wrong message. It's like they don't want to give me £175!1

I just got the text that I've qualified for the switch offer and money "should land" within 10 calendar days2
