So I applied for a Nationwide switch and all went well. Then it said I had to pay in £1000 within a v short time frame, the deadline was before pay day. So I don't get £175. I feel EXTREMELY ripped off.

1) Unless there is a specific requirement to pay in £1000 total in one go and / or leave £1000 in for a period, you can pay in the amount cumulatively e.g. 5 transfers in/out of £200
2) Why were you ripped off if you didn't meet the criteria to get the bonus?

31 days from requesting your switch is not a very short timeframe. Did you apply for and successfully open your account before the offer ended on 31st March?
