As I switched out my account last year I got rid of the card reader. If they don't automatically send one then there is a banch not too far away and I could go get one, just wondered whether to expect one in the post.
One thing to note though is that the card readers for NatWest, RBS, Ulster, Nationwide and Barclays can all be used interchangeably so if you've got a card reader from elsewhere you can use this in the meantime.1 -

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

2 questions. Firstly can you switch both a joint and sole account and get the incentive twice. Secondly do you need a debit card to do the switch?0

Secondly do you need a debit card to do the switch? Each person can claim a bonus once for a sole account and once for an account in joint names. If a debit card is active for the account you are switching from, then you must provide the details. If none is active, you can state the account does not have a debit card (if you do this when your losing provider understands you do have a debit card, they will most likely reject your switch request).2
