  • Has anyone used www.30pence.co.uk or other similar low cost DD sites to set up the two DD's? If so any recommendations or things to be aware of, easy to cancel afterwards etc?

Don't really want to move any of my existing DDs to the burner account I'll be switching from.

    Thanks in advance.
I take it you’ve done Moneybox and Plum savings

I have used them and it was very easy to set them up and then cancel them.
They took the first DD’s within a week of setting them up.

I've used a few including 30pence. You just cancel the DD mandate, that's it.

Still waiting on the confirmation from Nationwide now, I’ve had to bounce the same money around a couple of times to meet the deposit threshold, but have made two card transactions and transferred in two DDs from Chase…

Switch completed 15 October, card payment made 16 October and posted 17 October. £1000 cycled through on 17 October and I did £600 again yesterday just to be certain.

Here’s hoping it actually works, but I’m starting to worry given the speed at which some others got the text.

I got my 175 cash back but no text message. I was worried because my direct debits have never paid out but the switch completed Friday, 175 on Tuesday.

Ended up getting the amount the same day as this message, and then got the text the next day as seems to be common on this thread.

You will probably get the message tomorrow (if you didn’t get it today). That seems to be a common experience here, and is what happened to me.
  • Do i need to switch direct debits from existing bank account to get the offer or just have 2 direct debits come out of the new account?

    Yes††††††††††††
    Let's Be Careful Out There
  • How does the switch offer work if we intend to open joint acct?
Do we both have to switch a sole acct with 2 active DD each into a new joint nationwide acct?
or do we have to switch an existing joint acct with 2 active DDs into a new joint nationwide acct?

And will there be two payments for each of us or one payment for one new NW account?
