£175 Nationwide Switch Incentive, starting 25/09/2024

Very good points I did think that afterwards that they must make money from these switches one way or another if it’s not from me it’ll be someone else, and like you say there profits are huge too, I do kinda like nationwide though love how simple the banking app is doesn’t seem overly complicated at all so I might keep it and switch another bank instead, decisions, decision.0

Do you have a chase account? Maybe use an extra chase account for your next switch, and keep this nationwide one open. I've kept my Lloyds open for more than a year because they give the lifestyle benefit every 12 months. It's good for me because the tickets include my odeon which is usually excluded from freebies.0

I have a nationwide and a lloyds account recently opened I think I’m gonna get rid of the nationwide and keep the lloyds maybe but then I’ve got a halifax account which has similar options to the lloyds account, I tried opening a account with chase yesterday and they said no to me which I find strange as they don’t even do a hard check (I think) maybe it’s to do with the recently opened accounts?.goatfaced said:Do you have a chase account? Thanks. I was wondering really what people's experience was though because if it's never before day 10 I can stop checking the account every 2 hours!Middle_of_the_Road said:

Can you "game" the 1 year cashback by eg paying a large lump sum by debit card to yourself. Eg I have an N S And I curent account that takes debit card payments0

Switched into nationwide for the incentive then a day or so later switched to lloyds, I take it I didn’t need to stay with nationwide for a set period of time, little worried now they are gonna ask for the incentive back?.0

You're okay. The old Nationwide refer a friend incentive had such a clause in their T&Cs but this offer does not. Once the money is paid you are free to switch/close the account.tomxlisa said:Switched into nationwide for the incentive then a day or so later switched to lloyds, I take it I didn’t need to stay with nationwide for a set period of time, little worried now they are gonna ask for the incentive back?.0 -
