I'm going to try and the incentive even though I don't qualify.
As they seem to allow those already with them to get it, I will leave the account as a sleeper till I do qualify.
Will also open a savings account with the hope I get a Fairer Share payment next year.

If i switch from chase and set up 2 30pence DD. Can I start the switch straight away or do I need to wait until DDa are set up?0

Hmm, this isn't my scenario, but wouldn't any Virgin Money current account customers now be better off switching to NW ASAP before the takeover happens, assuming they can meet the conditions of the switch offer?0

I'm thinking about switching from my HSBC Advance account. Problem is that this has an associated Global Money account, and I believe this needs to be closed first (that's what HSBC say in general about closing the Advance account), and I can't find instructions for closing this. As the balance in the Global Money is zero, it is possible that I can switch without closing it0

I switched my Advance account to Barclays for £175. The Global is still sat there with £1 in it...0

When I used 30pDD with Chase it was only a couple of days later they showed on by Chase account, once they did I Switched.

Were the accounts you previously benefitted on a bonus on still open? Every claim I've seen of multiple payments have occurred when the person closed down the account they received a bonus on some time ago.
Interesting... I have 2x current accounts, one of which is a longstanding current account which I've received an incentive before. It is still open. The other I opened during the last offer and switched into, but didn't get an incentive for.

I suspect while that account you've previously had a bonus on is open you've little chance of sneaking in with another bonus; I don't know for sure but my assumption is their check looks for the "Switiching Offer" transaction on all accounts where all account names match, but seemingly it can't find it on accounts which have been closed (for some time?).
