Today I am grateful for:
A roof over my head, shelter and warmth, hot and cold water, for never going hungry

Busy and long day at work today, but on the plus side that meant little chance to even contemplate any spending! £100 paid off my debt today.9

There is nothing wrong with feeling low, flat or empty. These states are actually soul nudges, invitations to listen to ourselves more deeply, to love ourselves more authentically, to pay attention to the magic in between things

Sending hugs to you all, together we can get through the flat periods of time.
Been a busy few days, Mon I met up with my work besties in the morning, then a friend I've not seen in ages. Yesterday I did some sewing & went for a massage & today has been mostly sewing. I've been for a walk most days too. Been doing quite a bit of reading & read a book in 4 days - the quickest in a long while.
I save 20p & £2 coins, managed to save £120 by the time both money boxes were full. I then use it for treats, eg meals out or going for an ice cream.
It's been quite hot in our north eastern Scottish islands, but the weather has changed to wet & windy today. Tomorrow is our local agricultural show, so I'm hoping the weather improves again!
Grateful for DS3's exam results, deciding to take down the treehouse/climbing frame so can advertise the slide, etc for sale to add to the coffers, getting sewing jobs done & out the way, lots of books to read, sorting through buttons, etc from my late auntie's sewing stashUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I love that memory of Blackpool, Idee211. I spend many a year there, going around the pleasure beach, and arcades. I wonder if they still have those push penny machines?!?! I am long overdue a visit. Your son sounds like he's minted!!! Haha!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8 -

Remind yourself that inner peace comes with letting go of what you assume your journey is supposed to be like right now and sincerely appreciating it for everything it is
You are enough
You have enough
You do enough day by day
Be present, reset and reflect

doesn't mean not caring. It means taking care of yourself first and letting others take responsibility for their actions without trying to save or punish them

Yesterday was … I don’t know how to describe what yesterday was. It didn’t go as planned put it that way. Work was crazy not in a good way, so I was really looking forward to finishing work on the dot and going to a show with my friend. Unfortunately, we didn’t get in. Every so often I get free tickets for TV programme recordings in Glasgow however entry is on a first come first serve basis. My friend and I were about 10 minutes too late and sadly we were in the line just at the cut off point.Thankfully we were in Glasgow’s West End and only steps away to some decent bars. We nipped in to one for a stiff drink of full fat Coke and cheese and onion crisps. There was also some good live music from a guitar player. The Coke and crisps swallowed my NSD.Grateful today for time with my best GF even though it didn’t go to plan, for the sun being out, and for live music.

I got lots done yesterday, even though my little 6 y o grandson came to helpHe told his mum that he needed to help grandma today, so she brought him round while she went to work. We made jam (and ate lots of jam on hot buttered toast), tidied the front garden, went litter picking, cleaned out the bird bath, played lego and watched Bluey on my phone. I am sure there were other things as well.I am working today, so had better get a move on. The new storage for the main bathroom has arrived, so I will escape the bad language that will ensue when OH assembles it8

"the magic in between things" I love that. Thanks @mothernerd.
Yesterday I worked and got things ready for sis's arrival, then went to collect her at the airport in the evening, which ended up being a three-hour round trip because I got a bit lost on the way there, and drove slowly back as the roads were pitch black and winding (I was an utter bag of nerves but hopefully sis couldn't tell), anyway thankfully we arrived safely and spent what was left of the evening star gazing on the terrace and eating home made scones sis brought. And it was NSD 3!
Grateful for getting home safely, for hopefully being able to go and use the pool at the country house today, for my sister.Student loan £5655

OH left for a festival first thing so I am home alone for a few days
I worked from home, got the majority of my tasks done, just a couple of small outstanding admin bits to carry over to tomorrow.
Checked my finances as we're one week into the month, everything is as expected. Tidied things budget-wise and planned for the week ahead.9
