I've noticed this with YBS and now CBS. Hold similar accounts with both (4 access and easy access) which are earning less interest. Do they never increase rates on existing accounts? Is opening new accounts the only way to get a better rate?

For accounts with a limited number of withdrawals, a brand-new account is usually a Good Thing - it resets you to zero withdrawals.

Not sure about YBS but Coventry have this habit of having accounts with very similar names. So they have a 4 access saver and then this 4 access saver - 1 year account. They have had older versions of the 1 year account and they pay 4.15% same as this new one. But the other 4 access saver (which doesn't expire after a year) pays a lower rate of interest. I only keep it around to have somewhere for the cash when the 1 year versions mature.

I didn't think of that lol, that's definitely a good thing. I can't seem to find whether the interest is paid at the end of the tax year or on anniversary of opening (or when 1yr matures).

It's unusual for NW to offer their members bond
in Junenow (sic), it's normally offered in July. Plus, if you already hold the 5% July, 2025 18 month bond, NW T&C's state that you can also hold the new 5% June, 2026 15 month bond too - Nice 🤗.--**MONEYFACTS**-- FULL List of Money Comparison Products + News / Guides--Personal MSE 2026 Money Saving Challenges:# Regular Savers 2026- New 7/12 - Total: 29 (5)# No.2 Save 1p A Day Challenge 2026 £295.85 / £667.95 (5)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 - £7495.78 / £12,000 (5)# £10-a-Day Challenge 2026 - £523.63 / £1825 (5)# No.8 Sealed Pot Challenge 19 (24/10) 286.45 / £400 (5)# No.27 - Top Up EP 2 £1105 / £2880 (5).# Decluttering Challenge (5)# No.4 £2 Savers Club 2026 - Completed# No.5 Fiver Friday Challenge 2026 - Completed# Make £2026 in 2026 - Completed# Spectos Mailagent - ReadyMotto: 'SAVE before you spend on Non-essentials'2 -
I know it’s not an easy access account but since it’s being mentioned here: you don’t need to wait until June, you can open and fund it straight away

Yes, sorry, I was thinking ahead for June saving account possibilities, forgetting that the NWbs 15 month bond was launched yesterday on the same day as the the fairshare £100 announcement - That's when it flashed up on my NWbs App. Original post correct (sic).

Thanks, thought my notifications had restarted but realised it was just because you mentioned me so issue not yet fixed by looks of it.

Hello,
Just looking to switch my easy access ISA from Chip to Trading 212 to get the 4.62% for a year. Anything else I am missing as this seems to be best switch?
Thanks
