Skipton have launched an Issue 2 of their Member Bonus Saver, paying 5% including a 2.2% bonus for 12 months. Open to those who were Skipton members on or before 2/6/25.

It doesn’t seem to allow internal transfers, though I didn’t spot a restriction to that effect on the product page. Have paid in via Debit Card and hopefully once there is a cleared balance (the account shows as paying 2.8% - the non-bonus rate until funds clear, as happened with the previous version in 2024) this will be possible.

Edit to add: Min £1, Max £5,000 - so better than Issue 1 which was capped at £3,000 if I recall correctly.
opened and funded by debit card.

is everyone showing 2.8% and not 5% after initial deposit?

Mine's showing 5% but I transfered a quid into there from another account.

Suspect you'll show the unboosted rate until your DC deposit clears in 2-3 days.

That was also my thought so I've just did a £10 FP transfer.

Impressed that COP recognised straight away unlike other Building Societies.

Just opened and move just £20 internally and showing 5% It allowed me to move money internally
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

I gave up with Cahoot. Their OTP is a combination of letters and numerals which I couldn't copy and paste. Also no sign of biometrics option.

I got used to it, had a lot of practice. When I login on the phone the OTP appears on the screen so I just have to tap it and I'm in.  On computer you have to type OTP sent via SMS. I found that stressful at the start because they display 30 seconds time limit countdown and I thought the code is case sensitive, but later discovered that the time limit is not enforced and it's not case sensitive.

Thanks for this, managed to open one and used the internal transfer option (during the opening wizard) to transfer in funds from my base rate tracker...
Exactly what I tried to do for parent but could not. Funded mine via Debit Card through the opening wizard and will update if the option is enabled once funds have cleared.
I now have the transfer option available in the app (this may be the result of overnight processing or the Faster Payment I sent to add the account to my payee list ahead of a Regular Saver maturing later this month.)

Parent’s account was fully funded via the website yesterday - thanks to the poster who mentioned trying an internal transfer there instead.

    Skipton Member Bonus Saver 2

Seems to stick to the rule that you cannot open issue 2, if you already have issue 1.

I have asked for my issue 1 to be closed and its £1.05 sent to my current account today (had missed yesterday's deadline).

Let's see if it lets me open issue 2 then!
