Just tried opening the account. Unable to open due to not meeting criteria 🤔Kim_13 said:Skipton have launched an Issue 2 of their Member Bonus Saver, paying 5% including a 2.2% bonus for 12 months. Open to those who were Skipton members on or before 2/6/25.
It doesn’t seem to allow internal transfers, though I didn’t spot a restriction to that effect on the product page. Have paid in via Debit Card and hopefully once there is a cleared balance (the account shows as paying 2.8% - the non-bonus rate until funds clear, as happened with the previous version in 2024) this will be possible.
Edited to add.
Presumably as my original bonus saver is still open with £1 balance.1 -
Good rate for easy access savings. I was rather put off by the requirement to allow full access to the transaction data of my bank account. Didn't proceed in the end as I have headroom available in other accounts paying = or >.MichaelAP said:Anyone had any dealings with Snoop? They have an account named “Snoop Easy Access Savings Account (Issue 1)“. It has interest rates of 4.60% AER / 4.50% gross (variable). It says Interest is calculated and added to the account daily. If the daily interest is less than 1p, it is added to the next day’s interest and paid once the total reaches at least 1p. It is controlled by Vanquis Bank Limited.

I suppose the clue's in the name. It does try hard to upsell other financial/service products, presumably as a referrer.0 -
I closed my Issue 1 before applying - it closed immediately and I then opened and funded Issue 2 (well at least i've transferred the funds to it and will hopefully appear at Skipton before the end of the day).Middle_of_the_Road said:

Edit to add: Min £1, Max £5,000 - so better than Issue 1 which was capped at £3,000 if I recall correctly.

Thanks for this, managed to open one and used the internal transfer option (during the opening wizard) to transfer in funds from my base rate tracker...Kim_13 said:Skipton have launched an Issue 2 of their Member Bonus Saver, paying 5% including a 2.2% bonus for 12 months. Yes, I've opened it 6 days ago, put £1 in it and it arrived on the same day. Testing it again today. Deposited £100 at 10.26am, received confirmation e-mail at 10.47am, the money arrived at 4.20pm. I haven't tried withdrawals yet. All deposits must be made from nominated account and all withdrawals will be sent to this account. You can change which account is nominated via the App. Deposit or withdrawal instructions made before 11am are actioned the same working day. Any deposit or withdrawal instructions made after 11am will be actioned the next working day. No deposit or withdrawal instructions will be actioned on non-working days. There’s no minimum withdrawal amount, and you can withdraw at any time.MichaelAP said:Anyone had any dealings with Snoop? They have an account named “Snoop Easy Access Savings Account (Issue 1)“. Not the best account for 24/7 instant transactions, but the rate is very good for what it is.
It gives you a lot of useless features like calculating and classifying spending and bills in your nominated account. The info is inconsistent, but at least the app doesn't show it on the "home" page. The app also offers you a lot of vouchers for insurance, broadband etc.1 -
Oh yeah this sometimes happens for the Skipton initial deposit. Can't fully remember the fix, but it's like it doesn't work on the website or the app or something, and just use the other one. And then internal transfers work fine once the account has something in.Bobblehat said:

Exactly what I tried to do for parent but could not. Funded mine via Debit Card through the opening wizard and will update if the option is enabled once funds have cleared.intalex said:

Two emails today from Principality and YBS with a string of interest changes effective June 19th. Not skilled enough to post on here. It's odd to me that both societies emailed within a short time on the same day with changes on the same date. Seems as if they are working in concert.0
