Skipton have launched an Issue 2 of their Member Bonus Saver, paying 5% including a 2.2% bonus for 12 months. Open to those who were Skipton members on or before 2/6/25.

It doesn’t seem to allow internal transfers, though I didn’t spot a restriction to that effect on the product page. Have paid in via Debit Card and hopefully once there is a cleared balance (the account shows as paying 2.8% - the non-bonus rate until funds clear, as happened with the previous version in 2024) this will be possible.

Edit to add: Min £1, Max £5,000 - so better than Issue 1 which was capped at £3,000 if I recall correctly.
    How strange!

Yes, I've just opened an account and completed an internal transfer into the Issue 2 Members Bonus Saver without issue. Maybe it was initial teething problems?

Skipton Member Bonus Saver Issue 2

Does anyone recollect how long Issue 1 was around for before it went NLA?

I don’t have the funds at the moment to put more than £1 in; however if I wait to open the account I have some regular savers maturing at the end of July and I’d like to maximise my potential interest! Totally understand the risks that come with waiting and this issue could be very different and it could be withdrawn next week. Thanks
I seem to recall it was launched about mid January and then went NLA around early August the same year so it was a while.

It's worth noting though that Skipton account terms don't begin until the first deposit is received and you've 30 days to fund them.

Additionally in my experience you can close an account then reopen the same account immediately so there's nothing to stop you doing this if the account's still around in late July to push the maturity date on a bit.
Thanks Bridlington. I think I’ll open it and wait until the last minute to either initially fund it or close it and start again!

Thanks, I didn’t realise it was 30 days and assumed 14. Will come in useful to hopefully grab a new RS when mine matures and move it to the end of the month. Yes, Issue 1 was 12th January I think, as it launched alongside the Regular Saver Issue 3 (for which I seem to recall the cut off being that applicants were a member on or before 11/01/24.)

Funds for me are arriving at the end of June so I decided to just minimally fund it as the interest would pay out at the beginning of June 2026 and could be used to fund Regular Savers then.

opened and funded by debit card.

is everyone showing 2.8% and not 5% after initial deposit?

Same for me, but if you look on the app and click on 'Your savings account explained' and then ' When do I start earning interest?' it states that 'interest from debit card payments starts to accrue on the third business day, from and including the day on which a debit card payment is made'.

I opened and funded by Debit Card yesterday, hence would expect it to show 5% tomorrow.

As expected my account shows 5% today.

I've today moved £25K easy access funds from Chetwood Bank (recently dropped to 4.2%) to a new Cahoot Simple Saver (paying 4.5% up to £500K). No problems with transfer. Money moved overnight from Chetwood to my nominated current account with Santander. More or less instant transfer from there to Cahoot.

I've used Chetwood for easy access funds since circa December 2024. Slow withdrawals (day lag) but otherwise okay with a competitive rate (until now). Expecting quicker withdrawals from Cahoot (part of Santander)

Yes in my experience they happen by the time I log out of Cahoot, and into the destination high street bank website!

Yes, same as Santander, Cahoot transactions are instant 24/7.

Principality BS have announced rate changes on their existing accounts from June 19 - basically, it's a 0.25% drop across the board for those affected accounts.

Having succeeded once to log in to with Progressive via the app, I tried again just now. Got three codes, entered them accurately, three messages 'Invalid code'.
