We want to notify you that the expected profit rate on your Gatehouse Bank Easy Access Account is changing as follows on 19 March 2025:

    Current rate

    New lower rate

    4.65% Gross

    4.27% Gross

Is yours the ERG or EAA account?
    Gatehouse Bank Easy Access account

My email doesn't specify which of those two accounts (that I hold) it replies to.
    Mine are annual interest .
    4.35% from 4.75%

If so, both likely to be empty by 19 March atm

It will be their standard Easy Access Account that is dropping, not the ERG account.

when I got an equivalent email at the end of last year about a drop in the ERG account, it used the text "We want to notify you that the expected profit rate on your Gatehouse Bank Easy Access Regular Saver Is 1 is changing as follows on..."; whereas this email today states "We want to notify you that the expected profit rate on your Gatehouse Bank Easy Access Account is changing as follows on 19 March 2025" - so I would read it as being for their default Easy Access account.

The email states a reduction to the EEA but I'm expecting the ERG to follow, as it has done in the past..........

there were 20 days last December between notice of the changes to the two accounts - perhaps depends on how many kept their ERG accounts opened?

weirdly, I just logged in (their Android app no longer works for me) and the account is now labelled "Easy Access Regular Saver Is 2".

That is a big drop. Will have to find another home for my easy access money next month.

The Gatehouse move is a big drop, but the last move was *up* in December (from 4.60 AER to 4.75) and the next best (non-ISA) easy access accounts without limited withdrawals are all either sub 4.5% or moving there so it was a big outlier.

Even a 0.25% drop would have made it the best unlimited access account I have. I’ll still keep money in places like Atom/Coventry limited access but for sweeping money in and out of my current account (which usually means several withdrawals per month) I’ll be going somewhere else.
